| "This was the hotel I was most looking forward to staying in during our 4 week trip through Vietnam. It was also the most expensive as we had booked a beach front bungalow at £88 per night for 5 nights. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the gardens are meticulously maintained by an army of gardeners who at times seem to outnumber guests! The staff are friendly and helpful and most of them speak English. The beach is very good too, and also maintained by hotel staff every day.
The room however was considerably smaller than I had expected, given that it was one of the hotel's most expensive. You couldn't actually see the beach from the patio of the room because of an upward slope and a chest high hedge. The beach front bungalows could do with being elevated so that you can actually see the beach.
On our arrival, my 12 year old daughter was taking a shower and accidentally knocked a tiny hotel shampoo pottery bottle off a very small, irregular stone shelf (where it had been left by cleaning staff) which fell onto other stones in the bathroom and broke. The next morning we were presented with a bill for $1.50. Not a lot of money, but not a very diplomatic move by the hotel in terms of good customer relations, particularly for guests staying in a $175 a night room!
Worse was to come. On our second evening I recieved a very wide and deep cut to my leg from a small table on the patio which had a broken glass top. This wound bled profusely and took a long time to heal. It effectively meant that I could not use either of the two hotel pools for the rest of my stay as I had an open wound, and also had to be careful on the beach to avoid getting sand into it. I complained to hotel staff who were extremely apologetic and replaced the broken table but other than that did nothing. I had to write a formal letter of complaint in order to speak to a more senior member of the hotel staff, who at my own insistance called for a doctor at the hotel's expense. At no point was I offered any compensation in terms of a partial refund or even a voucher for a meal in the hotel restaurant. I made the point in my letter to the hotel that injuries like this, caused by broken furniture, simply should not happen in $175 per night hotel rooms." |

| "Although we have seen good reviews of Asiarooms and the Bamboo Village Hotel before the trip, we were pleasantly surprised at the ease of reservation and unforgettable experience in the resort. Following an advise in the "Reviews" of Asiaroom, we booked ourselves in a beachfront Bungalow. The toilet has landscaping of plants and pebbles, creating an atmosphere of perfect tranquility. Stepping out of the bungalow is a patio, leading to a well manicured garden and the beach. To top it off, there was a full moon on that night. Explaining the perfect experience is only limited by my limited vocab. " |

| "We had an amazing time at Bamboo village. The location, beach, pool were just perfect. Our garden hut was a real pleasure to stay in and we were especially taken with the sheer beauty of the surrounding gardens - they were breath taking! The staff in the bar and restaurant couldn't have been more helpful and friendly so overall our holiday was absolutely fantastic. I would definately recommend a stay at bamboo village." |

| "This hotel was a fantastic place to stay for the money. The grounds are beautiful, lush gardens, right on the beach. The restaurant had some of the best dishes we experienced during our trip in Vietnam. The hotel rooms were a bit sparse, but a great deal for the money. There was construction going on in the front end as it looks like they're expanding and building more rooms and another restaurant by the one pool- but this did not interupt our stay. I highly recommend the spa - it was the best massage I had during the trip. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Mui Ne Beach.

| "We highly recommend paying the extra and staying in a beach side bungalow (bigger bathroom and bedroom, better building structure, nicer location). We had a lovely week at Bamboo Village and had no problems relaxing there. The food was fabulous and so were the massages. We did find cheaper massages up the beach and on the main strip but they weren't as professional. We also arranged with the hotel for a transfer from the HCMC airport on arrival. It was a relief after a long flight to have someone there waiting for us. Email and arrange this with the hotel prior to your trip for about $100Aus. You can organise a cheeper trip back to HCMC airport with one of the tour companies on the main strip (aswell as many local trips around Mui Ne). The trip from the airport to Bamboo Village takes about 4.5 hours so take some food and request a toilet stop and BYO toot roll or tissues! Also it is worth having some $1 US notes for tipping when you first arrive. There is an ATM available up the road from the hotel and the hotel offers reasonable exchange rates if you have Aust $. We don't recommend the markets in Phan Thiet. There was nothing there and we didn't feel comfortable. Shop on the main strip in Mui Ne instead. Throughout our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia we found giving fruit to people begging was very happily received but no one approached us in Mui Nei. The beach water wasn't as blue as we orginally hoped so we swam in the 2 pools at Bamboo which were very nice. People were there with and without kids so if you have kids - it is very family friendly. We didn't encounter too many mozzies but took a can of Rid in our luggage which helped prevent and aid our midge bites. If you get bitten by either buy some Tiger Balm. We took measures to avoid mozzie bites (wore white long length clothing at evenings, used our mozzie net in our room and used Rid) and didn't get bitten. We looked at other places along the beach and honestly Bamboo Village was the nicest. The only other place which appealed to us was Coco Beach Resort where we had the cheaper beachside massages. Enjoy your trip! P.S. Book before you go - the prices are alot more expensive if you walk in off the street!" |

| "Ideal place to relax and unwind. Service excellent and the beach front bungalows are perfectly located and are in very good condition (equipment working, clean). The only drawback is still the somewhat onerous way to the resort (4-5 hours by private car either from Saigon or Nha Trang), although it's worth the long way. Transport reservation possibilty would be highly appreciated." |

| "We promised ourselves a 2 week stay after descovering bamboo village during our travels a couple of years age, and we never regretted one second! The hut was great fun and had all of the facilities that we required- very close to beach, great to sip coctails on the patio in an evening listening to the surf. The surrounding gardens are exquisite and so well tended. The 2 pools on site can make a refreshing change from the sea. They were never crowded and always kept clean. The staff were fantastic, always friendly, polite and the front desk staff would help in any way they could. Breakfasts made for a great start to the day, such a good choice of different foods, all excellently cooked and presented. Be careful of the pancakes, they can be addictive! The restaurant is right by the sea which is an added bonus.
The hotel is surrounded by small economical restaurants, family run shops and travel offices for trips.
The beach outside of the hotel was lovely. Some of the neighbouring hotels had recently had sea defence walls built and these were unattractive. They detracted from the ambience of the beach and gave little room for sunbathing. Bamboo village was just starting their defences as we left and this needs checking out before another visit incase the beach has been ruined. If no great change has occured, we will be visiting again in the very near future." |
