Don't miss the boat
Our flight to Davao got delay and we miss the 2:30 last Hof Gorei boat ride to the resort at Santa Ana wharf. It ended up costing us 3500 pesos for the taxi and 560 for the ferry to get to the resort. We loved our hut on the hill side and the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, especially our appointed butler Nor-in. We swam in the pool and snorkel infront of the hotel everyday. We watched the bees jumping from flower to flower infront of our face every morning and we saw a few fireflies and lightning storms at night. The food was good but expensive by local standards. It was an unique romantic experience that we will never forget.

peter and ruel's holiday
our stay at Hof Gorei was a fantastic chance to get away from the normal resort type of vacation. our personal assistant Ging Ging was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. we got to know all the staff (moman) was also tops. as a gay freindly place we couldn't have had a better place, the way the accomodations set out no interfears with each others privacy. The owner madam april, was a ball of never ending entertainment. and she was extremely helpfull when the time came to move onto Davao city. she personally made all our arrangements for us. the grounds the resort are set on are a botanical delight. everywhere you turn there is a vast varity of plants and animals. The food is a bit boring but having commented on this too madam, i hope she takes this in hand. A very peaceful (except for the honking geese lol) and restfull stay. peter and ruel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hof...
I really enjoyed my stay at Hof Gorei Beach Resort. The staff was great, everyone was so kind and helpful. I plan on going back to stay there again. The food was great and you can eat any were you want to. One night I asked to eat on the beach and they set up a table for me and my girl friend and it was very romantic. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time there. They are building a new dock that will enhance the resort. The old dock is a little tricky. The setting is tropical with lots of beautiful plans and a few ponds with geese and ducks. Also some exotic birds that are very beautiful. We went snorkeling and had a lunch on the boat. The staff takes very good care of you. Thanks Goddiel for your great service, you helped make 3 days that my girl friend and I will remember forever.

Set into a hillside this resort has...
Set into a hillside this resort has grown rather than been planned it has a lot of steps most of which vary considerably. Access to island roads requires a walk along the beach thru local housing. Food took from 45 minutes to 90 minutes to be served.It was good when it came and the service came with a smile.
