Great Stay
I have stayed at Lotus Garden before while on businessand enjoyed it very much. This time I brought my wife. We stayed in Manila because our flight was very late. The Hotel is very nice as well as all the service personnel. The only complaint I have is the lobby smells like karosean or diesel. It made me nauseous. Otherwise I highly recomend Lotus Garden.

A friendly environment and a peaceful accommodation
Location of Lotus Garden is not that appealing to foreigners because lots of beggar outside the hotel but inside this hotel will gives you a warm and friendly environment, most especially staffs were very hospitable, from reception, waiters, cleaners and the security guards who will help and guide you anytime. I was in this hotel when there was a typoon Pedring. I witnessed how the hotel employees helped each other to avoid the flooding inside the lobby, I was not able to leave the hotel for my appointment because of the flood coming from Manila bay that broke the sea wall. To my suprise, although there was a typoon, seminar inside this hotel was still ongoing. There are many restaurants at the vicinity not to mention Robinson Plaze is few minutes walk. Rooms are not that good compared to other hotel but you have a peace of mind that your personal belongings are very safe. As i heard, employees are being checked by hotel securities before going out the premises. My family guests enjoys dining at the Solara where the jaccuzi located. I will recommend this hotel to my Australian friends who plans to stay in Manila. My 16 nights stay here was not enough, I might stay longer on my next trip to Manila.

We were upgraded to a larger room with kitchenette. The floor of the room was very dirty when we arrived and although subsequently cleaned, it was not thoroughly done.
The position of this hotel is very convenient for visitors. Many restaurants close by and streets felt safe at night.

No problems here
As stated on other reviews this is a poorer area but nonetheless its ok...The large SM mall is very close wirh plenty of transport options be it jeepney or taxi....Not far from Manila bay and marina.
Rooms ok,lift one only but in perfect working order.
Breakfast..... a reasonable selection with attentive waiters/waitresses.
No problem to stay there again.

Attention to detail
I reserved at Lotus Garden coz I wanted to give them a secoind chance, other than the breakfast there is lacking n several key areas....primary is attention to detail...when u book a room at \lotus they ask u for perferences,,,,it does no good, not the first visit or the second ....my second visit was a honeymoon with my new wife, they knew it and I had said so....the room we received was on the second floor with hotel offices and a convention room, which was booked alot, so there was always noise, even at nite....this is not the kind of stay we expected...

I found the staff were most helpfull...
I found the staff were most helpfull and friendly. The room was good but the TV or maybe the remote was not easy to use. Also the walls failed to keep out any noise or talking in the corridor. The hot food at the buffet breakfast was only warm but there was no shortage. The location was ideal. Large shopping mall just 5 minutes away. Only major complaint is that there is only one elevator for the six floors. Yes, I would recommend this hotel and yes I would stay there again.
