Perfect Short Stay Venue
The Orchard Parade Hotel is on the corner of Tanglin & Orchard Rds. Ready access to shopping on Orchard Road. The foyer has a beautiful floral scent all through it, it is spotless and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Check-in process is fast as is check out.
Less than a block to a great little bar called Harry's where I had my first g&t in singapore. Great coffee at Starbucks next door to OPH; short stroll to Hard Rock Cafe if you like loud music with your western food...staff really friendly...great vibe.
Porters flagged a cab in seconds and it was a straight, quick run to the airport. I'd definitely stay there again if I return to Singapore. Never got near the pool but it looked great.
Only down side...a lady of the night getting payment from her client right in the front exterior foyer of the hotel. Not classy.

City Break @ Orchard Parade
Orchard Parade Hotel is located right at the beginning of the busy shopping precinct of Orchard Road, Singapore. It is a great location being relatively close to the Botanic Gardens, within close range to most tourist attractions. The Hop-on, Hop-off Singapore Bus stops just across the road. There are plenty of restaurants located close by and travel to most other destinations (E.g. Clarke Quay, Vivo City) is under SGD$10!!!
The hotel is clean, nothing flash as it is relatively old. The rooms are clean - great if all you are requiring is a bed to sleep in at night. If you are looking for something more relaxing (with spa resort etc) I would recommend else where.
The staff are helpful if you require assistance... otherwise you don't really see them much.
Overall I enjoyed my stay (being the second time I have stayed at Orchard Parade) and would stay again as it is very conveniently located :D

Customer Service Not Up to Sctratch
The room and hotel was generally fine, but some little things could have been improved. We called the operator and asked for someone to come to the room to assist with the TV...no one came at all. I called housekeeping and asked that a power adaptor be brought to the room so that I could plug in my phone charger to charge my phone...it didnt arrive. When we first checked in, the key-card wouldn't work, it wouldn't unlock the door, so I returned to reception and advised them. They reprogrammed the key-card and when I got back up to the room, it still didn't work, necessitating yet another trip down to reception. The hotel is getting a bit old now, but the pricing doesnt seem to reflect this.

nice old hotel with big rooms, friendly staff especially concierge they really helpfull. they can lend wheelchair for free n no time limit as long we stayed . good location, near to orchard road n gleaneagles hospital, a lot of food court although restaurants in hotel is good but expensive. really enjoy my stay there n i will staying in orchard parade again soon.

Comfortable room, large bed and nice TV. That's the good part.
The bad part: Very small, old and smeary bathroom, noisy AC.
Old and not attractive swimming pool. Medium Gym.
The location on Orchard is good, but many better choices (and more expensive) are available.

Upgrade needed
My overall experience was pleasant. Since Orchard Parade was rated 4 stars hotel in websites, the TV & TV reception need to be upgraded. Apart from relaxing, entertainment features is also important to guest . The Internet access should also be given free for room guest. I had stayed in many 4 stars hotel in Singapore and they are LCD tv and free wifi in every rooms. Even 2-3 stars hotel have free wifi access for room guest.

Never take a room ending in "10"
I arrived in singapore for a single night on business with my wife and 16 month-old daughter in tow. Upon arrival we were told our king bed request was only available in smoking rooms. After a bit of a do, they "upgraded" us to the club level, room #1510, and so began the worst night in a hotel ever. During the day, when you are coming in and out, or whilst the tv is on in the evening you don't notice but...: these rooms that end in 10 all abut the elevator shaft!! What that means is that all night long whenever someone uses the elevator, you hear the cables banging together, people talking, etc... Needless to say, my daughter kept getting startled out of sleep, as did we all. By the time we had discovered this issue, we had already unpacked everything, and set our daughter in for the night, so moving rooms just made no sense. The hotel staff was apologetic the next day, but admitted they knew about the noise issue from "many, many complaints" of previous guests --- absolutely unacceptable! Beware!
