Pleasant....
We chose to stay at this hotel because nearly every review was positive and at the time of booking asia rooms had a special on, however it turned out to be just an average hotel with hidden conditions and costs.
When booking this hotel and viewing the room type it stated our room could accomodate 2 adults and 1 child aged under 12. When checking in and confirming the extra bed for our son, we were advised it was and additional $70 per night for an extra bed for him. When i questioned this they advised a child can stay in the room however must use existing bedding with parents, meaning there would be 3 of us in a king size bed.
After having the extra bed delivered to our room, I requested we have a sheet put on out bed as there was only a doona, when returning to our room I discovered a folded sheet on the end of the bed, it hadn't been fitted.
We also had 3 instances of our swipe card not working meaning once we got to the lifts it wasn't working, this caused frustration, especially as once was very late in the evening and we had to wait quite a while for the one person at the desk to assist as they were with another guest.
The free mini bar and nespresso machine is a good feature however again with 3 people in the room they still only stocked the fridge with multiples of two.
This hotel was nice, or pleasant, however for the cost it was a bit disappointing as we had seen it had received amazing reviews and great awards however was not very impressive.
I wouldn't stay here again as I feel you could stay in another hotel just as nice in the same area for less cost and inconvenience.

In short, I found the Royal Plaza to be a wonderful hotel with good service, a wide range of facilities and extremely good value for money. No complaints at all

Great Location and good value with upgrade
Whilst we stayed for only one night the staff were very accomodating and helpful and an upgrade to the commercial business level was fantastic. Very comfortable room, with free mini-bar. Convenient location close to Orchard Road.

Wonderful stay
The service was outstanding as we arrived at 8am (check-in being 2pm) and were ushered by staff into the Club Lounge until they notified us of our room being ready. In fact, they upgraded us to a suite by 8.30am so that we could rest after an overnight flight. The whole stay, we were treated with friendliness and helpfulness and we couldn't more highly recommend this hotel. It was marvellous. We have been staying in this hotel since 1982, so that must show how good it is - service and proximity to Orchard Rd.

Singapore Stop-Over
Very central location, 200 metres from Orchard MRT. Wi-Fi access in bedroom.free and efficient. Food and service A1. From moment we arrrived we were given the "royal" treatment; spacious well-appointed room on 14th floor - the Royal Club floor, with complimentary buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks with canapes etc.in Royal Lounge. Throughout our stay the service and attention to detail we were accorded was first-class. Quite the best hotel we have used in S'pore on frequent stop-overs between UK and Australia. Credit to Asia Rooms for including this on list.

Great location and the price is less than the real expensive ones just around the corner.
The rooms do not match the grandor of the hall, but service is fine. (The rooms are small).
Check in was relatively quick.
We had connecting rooms and that worked just fine. Felt safe with the kids.
