hotel has provided breakfast but it doesn't have breakfast at all, as it just has bread and nothing, it's better that it doesn't provide breakfast. the only best thing is the room is big and clean and cheap.

Better than what V expected. Nice place to stay, but most of the taxi driver thought us that little india is a dangerous place to stay.. Nearby MRT and easy to get a taxi.

We first time stayed at Little india rd at Singapore. The room quite ok for us. At the night, outside very noisy and got ppl quarrel after 12am. This area also no parking for the guest, we need park at car parking area and charged expensive. Second things, this hotel got room promotion also. The price cheaper than i book with Asiarooms. Thank you.

congested room, old furniture, balcony was dirty, cigarette butts from previous stayer,bathroom very uncomfortable, water drainage at entrance of bathroom door, cant sleep at night due to noise from indian clubs beside the hotel, nearby streets not very safe for kids at night due to clubs and fights, breakfast only bread and bananas, no facilities to purchase breakfast in hotel, no one cleans used tables. staff at reception were friendly, provided guidance to train station and other places.

Rooms were pretty small and old. Hotel tried giving all facilities but not optimum. Nothing was cost-effective. Worst part was surrounding locality which was noisy with bars playing loud music till late night. So couldent get proper sleep.

This hotel is in the heart of Little India which, in its self is an interesting cultural experience. As far as value for money goes, it seems that Singapore accommodation is fairly pricey so you really don't get a lot for you money.
On the up side, the room was clean. The mattress was firm but bearable. On the downside, the room was rather small as was the bathroom which had no shower screen so it was a good idea to remove the toilet roll before taking a shower to avoid it getting wet.
There was a nice little balcony which was a good place to sit in the evenings to over look the local traffic below. The worst thing about this hotel is that it is located next door to an Indian night club/bar. This wasn't too bad on Tuesday to Thursday but on the Friday night the noise and music was terrible and it didn't stop until 2.30am. We got very little sleep.

Despite its name, the Madras Hotel @ Tekka is run by Chinese. My room was adequate for its price. It also happened to be the first hotel room I stayed in that included a DVD player in each room, although I didn't use it. The bathroom lacks a bathtub, but was roomy. (There was some problem opening its folding door, though, and I notified management about it.) There are individual safes available for guests behind the front desk. One computer in the lobby allows each guest 15 minutes of free internet use each day.
The hotel's complimentary breakfast was basic and vegetarian, but enough to fill me up. The neighborhood where the hotel is located has plenty of cheap restaurants, mostly Indian. It's also within walking distance to City Hall and Orchard St.
