Singapore is expensive and we knew what we were getting into when we booked, but man - this really was low budget. The room smelled like old socks and the aircon was pitiful - it barely cooled the room, even after a few hours. I didn't feel unsafe exactly, but I wouldn't want to stay there by myself - there were women yelling at each other in the halls all night. But it seemed like all the other places nearby were similar so if you want a place to stay, in this interesting location near a lot of transportation, and you are in a group - go for it.

My stay in the Hotel
I was happy to found your hotel to stay during my vacation in Singapore,at first it's very difficult for me to accept the comment of others why we get that hotel. But when we already there and became familiar to the place,I realized that I have nothing to regret on choosing the hotel,it is very accessible in the transportation using bus or MRT. The staff are accommodating and kind. I will back on your hotel for my next visit in Singapore. Thank you and more power.

Room was OK, but..
The hotel was great, comfortable and clean. But Singapore in general has become incredibly expensive. This same room 5-6 years ago would have cost $30-35, now it's almost $70! Food prices also seem a great deal higher. And this was about the cheapest room I could find in Singapore bar backpackers' hotels and some in Little India (which, when I read the reviews, I didn't even consider).
Mind you, I stayed at this hotel before, and the rooms have been improved since. Gone is the peeling paint on one wall, the room looked like it had been recently renovated, the TV was a big LCD one rather than the tiny tube that used to be there. Geylang also seems a little more safe - no more backstreet gambling, for one, and there are fewer denizens of the night (who can be quite aggressive, particularly the male ones). They're still there, though, it's a matter of knowing where to avoid going.

The hotel has great location, about 10 minutes walking from MRT (Train system), close to Changi Airport. it'll take about 20-30 minutes to get to the city centre.
There are lots of shops around the area.
Every day the room was cleaned and supplied with tea and coffee.
The rooms it self is small. It's good for 2.
The wifi is sold at a price of SGD 5 for 2 hours of use. I do not think it is worth it, as the speed of internet is very slow. That could be wasted money.. better use internet in internet cafe..
