Although our preference was to stay at...
Although our preference was to stay at a hotel close to the airport because of an early morning departure, Changi Village, relatively speaking did not provide much advantage in that regard and all activities were quite some distance from the hotel. We will most likely opt to stay closer in to the city on our next trip.
As for the hotel, it was sufficient. Unfortunately, there were no dedicated non-smoking room and our room smelled of smoke. Service in the restaurant was less than adequate, and price was high for the fare offered. Other than that, the staff was quite accommodating and friendly.

The hotel was perfect for what we wanted, which was a to break up a long journey and minimise the jetlag after returning home. The hotel ticked all the right boxes and we will definitely stay there again. The only negative comment would be the shuttle transfer only runs on the hour every hour so we we arrived at Chiangi airport we just missed it, so we had to fork out $35 for cab which could take surfboards - I think it stated on the website that the shuttle ran every 30 mins, which would have been perfect.

Hotel was ok. It was near the airport which suited as we were only there for the afternoon. Had an early morning flight next day. The room was clean but small. Located near quite a few restaurants and near the water, nice for walking. Also has a free airport shuttle which runs every hour but when we arrived at the airport we had just missed one so it was either wait 50 min or take a taxi. We chose the taxi.

WE chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and we had an early morning flight. We booked one of the best rooms and it was really lovely. A great way to top off a great vacation! The area around the hotel is kind of low key, we were able to walk to the waterfront and easily found a good place to eat. The hotel's service to the airport was free and very reliable.
