I was very surprised at how nice the room and the view was for the price we paid. Both the room and the view from the balcony were beautiful. It was a little farther from the beach and the subway than we expected but still well within walking distance (or a very short cheap cab ride). It was not in a touristy area but I found that a bonus as the restaurants nearby were more affordable and authentic. There was only toast for breakfast but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice Stay

I found this hotel is excellent. Nice view from the sea side room. It was really wonderful to hear the sound of wave from your bed. And beautiful to see the changing colors of the bridge. Two things are awful that I found. One is breakfast: it was so monotonous everyday same bread and juice. Second is language. Person those who worked in reception then should know to speak English.

Hotel itself Great Place

Visiting my daughter in Seoul, we decided to take train to Busan.
Hotel itself is lovely, however, terrible directions to get there. States that it's on the beach, however,it is on a canal, definitely not the beach we took the taxi too. The clerks really tried to be helpful, but do not speak any English. So it was a very difficult situation.
My daughter is in Korea to teach the children English, but from what i've experienced, none of the adults want to have anything to do with our language. If you're in the hospitality business, at least learn a few of our words. I definitely tried to learn as much Korean as I could in a short period of time.

Terrible location... if you're not a local...

Terrible location... if you're not a local or have spent time in korea/know korean... you will get lost... worst location ever... i paid for 3 person room, only to find out it was a 2 person room and i had to pay 20,000won more to have a matress on the floor. Don't stay there.

All rooms over oceanview, and have a balcony! would definatly stay again in this hotel, just make sure the taxi driver knows the adress how to get to the hotel

This was a great hotel for the...

This was a great hotel for the money! It is right on the water, so we had gorgeous views of the harbor from our window and balcony- beautiful! It is down by the fishing pier, so not on the beach, but Songdo Beach was just a few minutes drive down the road. Songdo Beach was lovely and not crowded like Haeundae Beach. We really like this part of Busan, though it's not as popular with tourists as Haeundae Beach area. We were very close to the Jagalchi Fish Market, which was even better than Tsukigi Fish Market in Tokyo- we loved it! Also, plenty to shopping markets around as well. The hotel rooms were very spacious by Asian standards, nicely furnished- warm and inviting. We were quite comfortable. The bathrooms were pretty basic, but very clean and not too cramped. The staff knew very little English, but very courteous and helpful. The only warning we'd like to give is that while it says it includes breakfast, it was minimal. They offered a box of juice, white bread to put into a toaster and little packets of jam, and a cup of Asian style noodles into which you add water and heat up in the microwave. So, while it does provide food, it's not exactly elaborate! Good to know before you get your hopes up for an extravagent breakfast! Overall, a very happy experience for our family of 7, including 5 young children (we had 2 rooms). Enjoy your time in Busan- our new favorite place in Korea!

The hotel is located on a somewhat...

The hotel is located on a somewhat decayed and dirty street a bit of a far walk (15-20 mins.) from the beach or the bustling market. Taxi's however are cheap in Korea and plentiful, so that isn't a deal breaker. It is along the water, however there is no beach there, just a dock and rocks (a sandy beach is a 15 min. walk South.) There is a lot of noise from boats and fisherman early in the morning. The staff spoke NO English or Japanese (my girlfriend and I speak both but it didn't do any good here.) The inside of the hotel is however quite clean and the room was very pretty with clean, new looking wooden floors and ceiling and a really beautiful view of the water and a large bridge and many boats in the distance (very pretty view!) The floor is even heated which is nice in the winter (when I visited). Standing inside the room is quite the opposite experience of standing outside of the hotel! There were many TV channels to choose from and a PC in the room with Internet access! It was an old PC but it had Windows XP. I had never seen this IN an inexpensive room like this before. As a former computer analyst however I was hesitant to access e-mail or anything personal from it however for fear that a computer used by so many people could have a key logger or other software on it that could take my passwords, etc.) It was useful for looking something up however. I also had an interesting experience - I wanted to keep an empty glass Coca-cola bottle as a souvenir, but housekeeping threw it away when they cleaned the room even though it was sitting with my luggage! The staff spoke no English or Japanese, so I had to explain what happened with gestures, pantomime, and drawings. They understood and the man at the desk went to a market that night and bought me 2 bottles of coke in glass bottles. They upset me, but then took an impressive step to correct it, so I applaud that. Final verdict : This hotel is OK for budget or business travelers or a weekend adventure of an experienced traveler (ie. someone used to foreign countries and not speaking the language.) But it would be a disappointment for any kind of big or special vacation you are planning (my trip was just a budget weekend getaway from neighboring Japan.) I would stay there again only if I couldn't find something in a better location with a similar price (which I probably could have found if I hadn't spontaneously planned this trip only 1 week in advance.)

Wow, wow, wow! This hotel is great...

Wow, wow, wow! This hotel is great value for money! The suite (70 000 won) is HUGE, with a double and single bed, and huge living room and bathroom (2 TVS, 2 fridges and a computer). The place is clean and new, and the staff were friendly (though the level of English was not that hight). The pictures on this site just don't do it justice. The only downside is that it isn't in the hustle and bustle of Busan station or Haeundae beach, but I think that is what made the hotel wonderful. It was away from the business, and you could sit on your balcony & watch the comings and goings of the smaller ships in the harbour. If you love harbours then this place is PERFECTLY located! The hotel is definitely in the the less fancy side of time, but safety isn't a problem in Korea. It is only a 2000 won (around $2) taxi ride to the nearest site (the hotel will call a taxi for you), and about 4000 won to Busan station which is where the Busan City Tour bus starts. It just means a long time on the subway to get to Haeundae beach. I would definitely stay here next time I am in Busan!
