review on wonstar ximen
the hotel's facade is not that remarkable but wait till you get in. the staff are very accommodating. the place is just a few steps to the heart of ximending. the place is surrounded with shops, eateries, cafes, movie house and superb bargain items on sale! the room is clean, complete with free wifi, free bottled water, biscuits, coffee and tea. toiletries abound. this is the place to stay in taipei, ximending!

Value for money
Happy with my stay at Wonstar Ximengding, friendly staff, clean rooms and plenty of TV channels to choose from. Just 1 min walk to Ximengding, 5 mins walk to Ximengding station. Glad that I've made the right choice.

Clean room and friendly staff
The hotel is in the middle of Ximending which was great although it was a short distance from the MRT station. Lots of great shops and food nearby. The room was clean and the toilet looked newly renovated. They provided lots of unexpected amenities like shampoo and bath gel, comb and even hairdryer. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for a shopping trip to Taipei!

Value for money smack where the action is
Very convenient location within ximending. Rooms are clean (sterilized before new guests) and the counter staff are very friendly. They remember your faces and chat with you, making you feel at home.

Better than average for 3 star hotel
Staff service at reception was good. Room looks new. Problem with the shower was fixed the next day. Nearby has a nice Mei Er Mei breakfast shop which we enjoyed. Within walking distance to Ximen mrt station. Free wifi provided in room and lobby has an internet PC too. Only shortcoming was request for late checkout cannot be accomodated as the system is computerised and will charge you hourly rate if you checkout late. Hotel do not come with any other facilities such as pool or gym. Rates could be cheaper as there are many other alternatives in Ximending area.

The housekeeper do not do their job
When we checked in to this hotel again after our trip to Taichung, we were assigned to another room. This time, the toilet seat has spots of urine left by the previous hotel stayer. The droplets were very obvious so there's no use the housekeeper will missed it unless they did not do their job thoroughly. It's also the 1st time where i checked into the hotel that the pillow on the bed is not made properly. They did fold back the blanket but the pillow seemed to be like just being throw onto the bed without making it tidy. The aircon which comes with the heater function does not work. We switched off the aircon but the room is still cold as the air ventilation fan in the bathroom cannot be switched off unless you off the lights. Breakfast can be skipped as choices is not much and there are better and cheaper breakfast just nearby. The good points for this hotel is that the location is very near to the MRT and the front desk staffs are relatively friendly and helpful expect for a guy who wears glasses.

Small and convenient
Wonstar XMD is located about 8 mins away from the MRT. The walk will be shorter in the morning when the crowd had not appear yet. There are many eateries around the hotel therefore do not worry about breakfast if it's not provided. The room is too small for it's money value in my opinion.

Convenient location
first time stay in this hotel,recommanded by friend.very good location ard 8-10mins walk to ximen station.Hotel staff are helpful and friendly.although price is a bit costly but will stay there again for my next trip.
