My wife and I stayed at this hotel from the 13th to the 18th of March 2007. The hotel is almost brand new, so everything looks immaculate. We had a standard king room, which was most comfortable. The room itself was very spacious with a good view from the 8th floor. More than sufficient lighting and the bathroom was also a hit with some clever design features and plenty of amenities. The spa/pool and Gym on the 2nd floor is well worth utilising, very enjoyable. The restaurant that is used for breakfast was quite extensive with all the usual food varieties, including western and asian options. However, if you decide to arrive at 9.30am (30 minutes before service finishes) the buffet is somewhat non existent, best to get there early, for premium selection.
In general, all service was efficient and friendly. A few more smiles wouldln't hurt. A smile costs nothing!
The location wasn't too bad, about a 10 minute walk to the closest station. Shopping around the area of the station is interesting, as are the markets, well worth visiting. Taxis are cheap, so moving around the city is cheap and convenient. Consider this hotel if you are travelling to Taiwan.
