Excellent value for money
Spacious apartment, great value for money, friendly staff. Slightly isolated but a tuk-tuk service to the BTS station is provided.

The greatest stay of my Thai travels
Good location, you may find the street stall just 5 mins walk from apartment, there are plenty of local treats from morning to late night. Nice tennis court provided nice play companion, decent sauna, it would be a bonus if add on a hot tub. The swimming pool just normal, it could be more luxury if there were more green and fully opened but not semi-opened. Hopefully there is weight machine as the heavenly thai food spoiled our stomach and a good weight watcher is needed!!
I have been to Thailand more than 25 times. From the 5 stars to the boutique hotels, I would love to say Somerset Suanplu not just value for money, it also gives us a warmest memories during CNY 2012 and I've already propose to my company to find out the corporate rate for residential stay. You have to try it out!

Worth the money
The upgraded the room to 2 bed room suits. Worth the money. Deluxe room has washing machine but could not use because there is no tap.
Location is ok, 15 minutes walking to BTS Chong Nonsi Station or Silom.

Stay was great and relaxing. However, if you are in Bangkok tomshop, it is a bit troublesome as your would hace to take the tavi or bts train to the shopping district. Other than that, Somerset Suanplu is a great place to stay. Great staff and hospitality

good hotel
I chose Somerset Suanplu this time after having heard from friends who have stayed there that the property is not bad. The room I had was great: spacious, well laid-out, king size bed and on a non-smoking floor. I booked a few months ahead of the trip. Would have been great if Somerset could have included or offered a discount on breakfast as a gesture of goodwill. Nonetheless, the stay was pleasant.

Great for a family
The shower in the en suite was not good due to it being a bath/shower. The floor became quite flooded when used. Other than that it was excellent. Very roomy with a second bedroom for the kids. Good selection of food in the restaurant and your own cooking facilities if needed. I would visit this hotel again when in Bangkok.

Got Food poisoning
I wouldn't expect to get food poisoning from a quality hotel but that may be the distinction. Under the surface, this isn't a quality hotel. I checked in late after a long flight and wasn't in the mood to eat outside. I entered the room and found it comfortable but standard. I ordered room service and ended up spending the remainder of my stay regurgitating it back up. I was so ill that I couldn't sleep, eat or really do anything. I have visited Bangkok many times and have never been sick before. I would not expect the standard of food at a quality hotel to make me sick, To make matters worse, the staff didn't seem to care. I made my first complaint on the morning after being sick. They said they would advise management and get back to me. They never did. I check again two days before leaving and they didn't know what I was talking about. When I checked out, I bought the matter up again and they again didn't seem to have any record of my complaint. To make things even worst, the charged me for the meal that made me ill. I won't be staying there again.

We booked one of their two bed room apartments as it was more convenient when travelling as a family. The quality of the rooms i.e. the cleanliness and condition of the rooms did not disappoint. We did not have time to check out the spa/ massage facilities but they did appear to be on the more expensive side. They do a fantastic breakfast of a wide range of thai and english/ continental options, fruits, eggs made to order etc. The hotel is also conveniently located in a nice part of bangkok and provides easy access to shops, bars etc. However, the attitude of the staff, specially the front desk staff leave much to be desired. We had requested for a late check out and they started ringing up every ten minutes from an hour before we were meant to check out to ask us to leave...they then threatened they would charge a whole day's room rate if we didnt leave at exactly the appointed hour. In my experience, most hotels, including big five star chains allow people some grace time to check out. Also, the hotel have a silly rule of charging you half a day's room rate if you check in before 12 noon but they do not waiver that if you check in late...they do not tell you this on the website and one if left with little option when you arrive there after a long flight. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and am yet to come across this anywhere else.It would be helpful if this was made clear when people are booking ... And lastly, Id asked for some information and assistance to get to Cha Am/ Hua Hin from Bangkok but when I turned down their travel desk's offer to get their by their private taxi for 3500 Baht the staff were rude and feigned ignorance of other ways to get there. Overall, a nice place in a great location, good value for money but the attitude of the staff ruin the experience..

This serviced apartment is one that I highly reccomend. No matter traveling by yourself or with family it is a great place to stay. Nice pool and fitness room. The staff is great!! Everything is always very clean and it a 3 minute tuk tuk ride to BTS and many restaurants and stores. There is a basketball court close, just around the corner and a great market just down the street for food and fruits and veggies. I stay here every time I am in Bkk and I am there 5 times every year for leisure
