We booked one of their two bed room apartments as it was more convenient when travelling as a family. The quality of the rooms i.e. the cleanliness and condition of the rooms did not disappoint. We did not have time to check out the spa/ massage facilities but they did appear to be on the more expensive side. They do a fantastic breakfast of a wide range of thai and english/ continental options, fruits, eggs made to order etc. The hotel is also conveniently located in a nice part of bangkok and provides easy access to shops, bars etc.
However, the attitude of the staff, specially the front desk staff leave much to be desired.
We had requested for a late check out and they started ringing up every ten minutes from an hour before we were meant to check out to ask us to leave...they then threatened they would charge a whole day's room rate if we didnt leave at exactly the appointed hour. In my experience, most hotels, including big five star chains allow people some grace time to check out.
Also, the hotel have a silly rule of charging you half a day's room rate if you check in before 12 noon but they do not waiver that if you check in late...they do not tell you this on the website and one if left with little option when you arrive there after a long flight. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and am yet to come across this anywhere else.It would be helpful if this was made clear when people are booking ...
And lastly, Id asked for some information and assistance to get to Cha Am/ Hua Hin from Bangkok but when I turned down their travel desk's offer to get their by their private taxi for 3500 Baht the staff were rude and feigned ignorance of other ways to get there.
Overall, a nice place in a great location, good value for money but the attitude of the staff ruin the experience..
