I stayed in the Sawasdee Sukhumvit Inn Hotel Bangkok, for my 1st trip to Thailand, Bangkok. Initially, I had a difficult time lookin for the hotel, as it is situated at the end of a long, narrow road. However, once I found it, I realized that the location extremely convenient, bein near to the BTS (metro), as well as a 7Eleven store.
The room is neat, though it can be a little dusty, serves the basic requirements. The furnishing is old, but fully functional. Do note that the doors and walls can be a little thin, so take care of the volume that you are speaking.
Breakfast is a simple fare, you can have a choice of a 'set meal', with coffee or tea at a small, sheltered cafe outside the hotel. Unfortunately, no luck for brunch.
The receptionists are extremely friendly, and helpful. Overall, I had a pleasant time staying in Sawasdee Sukhumvit Inn Hotel Bangkok. For the price you are paying, you need to adjust your expectations a little.

Overall, the hotel was excellent. The facilities were good, the room size was perfect for myself and my wife, and the amenities were also quite good. The internet kiosks in the lobby were reasonably priced (you could find cheaper, but the ones at the hotel were very convenient). The choice of breakfast every morning was good, and the quality was decent, though some western guests might find the portion size lacking a little. Personally, I wasn't there for the breakfast, so it didn't really matter to me. Also, the in-room mini bar is kept well stocked and reasonably priced. You can go to the local 7-11 or other convenience store and find things a little cheaper, but not by much.
In terms of location...it is a few blocks from the Thong Lo skytrain station, which can get you most anywhere. I found this to be very convenient. Also, there are taxis everywhere on the main street, so going places is no problem. On that front, they have a nice travel desk in the lobby that can help you with travel needs outside of Bangkok (and some in Bangkok)
As I mentioned, my wife and I loved the place, and will be staying there again, if we ever are in Bangkok again. The place is wonderful for couples, and the atmosphere is excellent. I definitely recommend it for marrieds and those seeking a good room for the right price (cheap, not trashy). The staff are generally courteous and friendly. They are also good at helping out with odd requests. My wife got sick during our travel, and they helped me find an English speaking pharmacy/drugstore. I was most pleased with the staff's knowledge and care. Again, overall, this place was excellent.

It's quite a long way down Soi 57,but it was worth the money I paid.Lots of Japanese restaurants,But I stayed there as it was the cheapest hotel nearest to the airport.I paid 220 Baht to the Airport.Make sure the drivers use their meter! The driver I had told me I had to pay 50 Baht extra,Watch out for this.

I was disappointed about this hotel in...
I was disappointed about this hotel in the first night, because the reception gave me a small room near the stck room. It`s quite dark and inside the room is quite small.
I couldn`t sleep well because it has a little bit noice all night especially when there was somebody pass my room to the stock room.
But when it became morning, I got a pleasant impression about good service from the owner and restuarant staff. That made my feeling better.
It`s OK for you if you want to keep your budget.

I stayed here for a night on 16 Sep 2006 as it was near the bus station which i wanted to go to the next morning. The service was in non-existent and reception was not helpful. The taxi driver from the airport turned off the meter and demanded 350Baht from me once i reach the hotel (I did not get to see the fare before he turned it off). I turned to the lady at the hotel reception for help but did not get it at all. In the end, I had to pay the fare demanded by the unresaonable tax-driver. Room was dirty and I do not feel secure at all. Bathroom was dirty too. Air-con air has a smell to it. Overall, a negative experience and would not stay here again.
