Ibis Siam is about half an hour...
Ibis Siam is about half an hour drive from the airport and 20 mins walk to major shopping centres like Paragon Siam, MBK etc. If you were to take a cab, it would costs around 45 to 75 baht depending on the traffic condition. The nearest supermarket is around 5 mins walk. Most cab drivers do not know this hotel though. Hotel room size is just nice for 2 persons. Room is clean. Breakfast is ok. Some hotel staff are friendly. For the price tag, I would say that it's value for money.

This hotel is new, clean, and efficiently run. It is central, though can have some taxi drivers a little confused as to its whereabouts.

The hotel is great in terms of amenities and cleanliness. Staff is professional and speak good English.
Our experience with the breakfast fare contradicts all the poor reviews we had read before we booked with the hotel -- we found breakfast offered a decent spread of Chinese cooked food and breads/ eggs/ bacon/ baked beans. And with all the good food in BKK, we didn't want to stuff ourselves silly early in the morning anyway.
The only area I would rate "could be better" is the location -- it is a good 15 - 20mins from Patunam area, and quite a distance from Victory Monument station. You should be able to walk to both without much physical difficulty. You just need a little patience and be able to put up with exhaust fumes along the way.

Very good value for money. Room is clean and air-con and hot water shower is in good working order. They have a decent breakfast selection. Ibis is about 20 minutes from the old airport if you are using the highway. Location of the hotel is convenient, you only need to walk about 10 minutes to reach Victory Monument Station and get to your shopping destination in central Bangkok. Highly recommended to budget travelers.

The hotel was more than what we had expected. The bed clean and very comfortable. Everything from the room right down to the service staffs were good. Every morning we were greeted with smiley faces. Stayed 4 days and will definitely go back again.

They check-in me into the wrong category...
They check-in me into the wrong category of room and no apology was given. Reception rather unfriendly. Throughout my 3 night stay, my room carpet was never vaccumed. Construction outside the hotel start as early as 8 in the morning and stop at about 10.30 in the morning. I had lunch at the cafe on the first day and when told the waiter then my tea is cold, he just giggle away.
Definitely, not recommended for senior citizen.

the room is overall nice. but the location of the hotel is pretty hard to get to as many cabbies duno this new hotel. we had to go a few rounds until we spotted the hotel ourselves. the map that we had wasnt of much help too. if u plan to stay here try to recognise the way. actually its very near to pratunam market. walkable distance if u don mind the dusty & uneven road.
the 1st nite me & my bf stayed in d standard room w/o realising. we check with the recepttion d very next monday about out reservation of superior room. almost immediately the staff apologise & offered a superior room for us but it was yet to be tidied up. so we had to wait for a while.
service & cleanliness is generally good.

firstly it was wonderful stay in ibis hotel,but i would like to inform you that they should provide more continential type of breakfast. their was hardly to choose the morning breakfast, as i know in other hotels that we stayed had many things to provide for breakfast(like pancakes,french toast,various kinds of egg dishes,vegetables salads etc etc).
we were little disappointed the day when we came the second time to this same hotel in the evening, as soon as we entered to our room and i went to the basin to wash my hands and saw that their were broken pieces of glass itself. we immediately called the receptionist and the boy came up to check with the receptionist -without asking any question?? she direcetly asked me to pay 50 batts for the glass charges, and that it was not okay, but when i explained her that we have not done it we saw (as soon we came in the room)- and informed you then she said she will check with the room service peoples who cleans the rooms.
so these was not a right serv. to give the customer-and of course this kind of feeling.
