honest when i walk in, i said...

honest when i walk in, i said god this is not my type, but be there i felt i'm with family, the name smile it suit the place, i recommend it to all young people who like to have a good time, but not for my age group, as woman alone is not good idea, but for me the place is majec, you think you are country side, but you are in the old city of bangkok, food great and price very cheep, i love the side of it with smiling staff also very clean, if you can sleep with noise i recommend it!

My wife and I generally never like...

My wife and I generally never like to pay too much for a hotel because you only use it to sleep in. I would call it a budget hotel. Better for the younger traveler. It was OK.

I stayed at Sawasdee Smile Inn in...

I stayed at Sawasdee Smile Inn in Bangkok, from Aug 18 to Aug 19, 2007. In a word, if you are not a budget traveler, I can't recommend you to stay here. Room is really small and worn-out,you cannot find out any space to put your luggages. And bathroom & toilet space also so small and old,you may feel uncomfortable to use. Fortunately,the location is nice to go to Kahosan and to sleep, and they serve good American style breakfast. The reception desk was a little unskilled but very kind. This hotel is really good for budget...

This hotel is really good for budget travelers as the price is quite low, I saw quite lots of young boys and girls live there as well. The facilities are simple, just a small room with toilet. You can assume that nothing would be provided. Moreover, if you book this hotel online, you would find that breakfast included and it is nice meal. Overall speaking, it is a simple hotel like hostel suitable for budget travelers rather than business trip or high class entertainment.

Very pleasant stay in this hotel. Location was certainly a pro- being located off the khao san road, but yet still close enough to get there very easily. The staff were very helpful, and overall had a very good stay here.

Had a great time in the Sawasdee...

Had a great time in the Sawasdee Smile in hotel. From the hotel we could easily walk too the Golden Palace and Wat Pho. Do not believe the locals who are telling you that it is closed because of buddhist holiday though. It is open every day. For eating we can recommend the secret garden it is nearby the hotel! Very nice and cheap food.

This is probably one of the cheapest...

This is probably one of the cheapest hotels in Bangkok so you cant really expect too much. I rate this hotel as excellent value for money. However if your looking for great service and facilities then this is not the hotel for you. Definately backpacker style. Service is the absolute minimum. Dont expect anyone to carry your bags to your room. And dont expect lifts. If your on the third floor you will be carrying your own bags up each flight of steps. I probably wont stay here again but I did enjoy my stay.
