We had booked for two suites, each...
We had booked for two suites, each with 2 bedrooms, but when we checked in we only got two rooms (one grand deluxe and one deluxe). Bathroom flooded every time after you had a shower - water eventually flowed away, but this should not happen. No hot water in one of the bathrooms. Not much of a range of amenities in the bathroom. No air con in the corridors. Had to pay a deposit for the room keys and another deposit for safe box key. One room not made up until 7pm - had to wait around for maid to return to hotel to clean the room.
Some good points: friendly and helpful staff; breakfast included; breakfast served to us before our departure at 6am; cheap internet usage; free tea/coffee/OJ in lobby; close to major shopping centres.

Its a good hotel to stay in...
Its a good hotel to stay in Bangkok..the staff is very very friendly, and you are treated as if you are at home.The moment, i walk in the hotel, the staff immediately opens the door, and greet us. And he even bring us drinks and bananas to enjoy...after a tiring day...its really a warm gesture..
However, one minus point would be the publisity of the hotel. not many taxi drivers knew the place, hence you gotta bring maps and explains before one could send you there...

The hotel does not provide a common guest copy of the English language newspapers. I tried buying a copy at several 7-Elevan stores in the hotel vicinity and not one carry the Bangkok Post nor The Nation. A shop at 2nd level Asia Hotel does carry such papers but very limited copies . It was out of stock when I went there at 12 noon. So I had to walk all the way to MBK Center to try my luck. I was lucky when I managed to get one( last copy available at 1230 hrs )

Shall we start with the positives? The service was great - very friendly and helpful staff. The location, a 5 min. walk down a small street filled with food vendors and interesting local shops to the Ratchathewi Sky Train is perfect. Rooms on the sides and back were very quiet.Here's the reasons we'll never return: we're pretty sure (due to hairs not our color) that the sheets were not changed from the previous occupants. The maid woke us up every single morning with banging and god knows what out in the hallway though we repeatedly asked her politely to be quiet. The breakfast was the worst I've ever experienced. I know other reviewers said it was bad, and we thought 'Well, how bad could it really be, they're probably just picky.'No, it's bad. Despite the great location and wonderful staff, we will not return. We can't wait until the noisy construction near the Samran gets finished so we can go back there.
