Perfect for my needs
There is a bewildering variety of hotels to stay at in Bangkok and I've tried several. This, I think, is my preferred one. It is a small, intimate hotel on a human scale. It is efficient, clean, and friendly. The location is good and the facilities entirely adequate. The room was good and wifi was free. Recommended.

Very Chic at Citichic
A very nice little Bouetique Hotel in the heart of Bangkok. Stylish but warm rooms, clean and very comfortable. Verx friendly and helpful staff. Just a short walk to Sukhumvit with acces to the BTS Skytrain within half a mile, on request they will drive you there with their own Tuk-Tuk but then you miss the adventure of all the shops and foodstands along the street. Nightmarket, Bars and shopping nearby. Absolutely recommended for couples or singles visiting Bangkok. Maybe not as suitable for families with kids. This was my second stay in CitiChic and I will stay here whenever I visit Bangkok. Loved it and miss it already.

Loved it
Everything about CitiChic Hotel was delightful. From door to departure, the staff could not be more friendly and the location was set far enough away to avoid the noise and ruckus of Sukhumvit, but close enough to walk to it or have the hotel's complimentary tuktuk take you to it. I didn't have breakfast there so I cannot comment on the in-house food. Cheap-eats are all around you on Sukhumvit and a nice sit-down restaurant is a short walk away, if you want something more elegant. The roof-top pool is nice, particularly at night with the skyscrapers near and distant. It's a small area which gives you a comfortable and intimate feel with a rather nice view. The workout area is adequate and a full glass wall faces the pool so you can workout and aspire to attain the sculptured body of the lovely European lounging in the pool. All said, I love this hotel and absolutely would not hesitate to stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Room 103 is to be avoided due...
Room 103 is to be avoided due primarily to the smell eminating from the drains. If a ground floor terrace room is preferred try Room 102 which my friends stayed in and was OK (as was the upper floor room to which I moved). The airconditioning is rather noisy, temperature is hard to regulate (cold or ventilate appear to be the only choices) with fan speed operating at full speed regardless of any adjustments. Staff are very helpful and professional. Decore is modern, rooms are relatively spacious but certainly not large. Bathroom also pleasantly modern with a large bath and a separate shower. Some water from shower tends to seep through to toilet floor area. Not really a problem, except in Room 103 where the shower effectively floods the toilet alcove floor.

Situated within walking distance from the Sky...
Situated within walking distance from the Sky Train is a bonus but the hotel also offers free transport to the main road. Staff are friendly and very helpful, always willing to offer advice on, for example, taxi fares etc. Beds are enormous with matching modern bathroom facilities. The rooms have the latest in flat panel television sets as well. Excellent value.

I hate to whine but I'd really...
I hate to whine but I'd really hoped that this small 'groovy' hotel would be a good place to stay and pre-booked two visits and stayed in two types of rooms. Unfortunately it had a range of faults - failed internet connection, no toilet paper (I had to ask more than once), faulty TV reception, a poorly designed bathroom in one room, sporadic hotel tuk-tuk trips to the main road, and my neighbor's room service meal was left in the hallway for an unusually long period of time. Perhaps the biggest disadvantage was the lack of hot water. After saying that the technician would fix it reception eventually admitted that it was always stuffed. For this type of money this wouldn't happen in their competitor's hotels.

Very nice friendly hotel, staff speak very good English. Very clean and very modern.Value for money excellent. Very near Sky train station and red light area not too far if that interests you.
