3rd time cannot fault

Stayed here again, this time 6 nights. No problems. Great value place to stay and Asia.com makes it easy to book. Not 5 star but suits me. Will be back.

The hotel was ideal for us as we only wanted the room for 14 hours between flights it was clean and the staff friendly down a little side street for the price we paid it was very good value.A lot of young people seem to use it.The rooms are in need of a refurb but you get what you pay for would stay again if we wanted a room for a short period.

Two night stay. July 14/15 - 2011

We had a two night stay in transit from London to Hua Hin. I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. Quite new reception area but rooms are showing their age, some wear and tear. No in-room safe (room 43) but safe available in reception. Bathroom, water hot and near instant. No tea/coffee available in room but has minibar. Staff very courteous and helpful. 30 seconds walk to an excellent restaurant village, will suit most tastes. For those interested, 1.5 km to night market (Pat Pong). And within walking distance (for me 65y/o) to Charoen Krung road Post Office and further, but still an Ok walk for me is China Town. Metered taxi's tend to be cheaper than Tuk-Tuk's and less noxious fumes for you to breathe. Best travel from/to airport. Single Traveler: skytrain / MRT / local Taxi. Family: Metered Taxi from "Departures" (level 3) about 200 baht + 70 baht for Toll's

Rooms smelled of smoke as they allow smoking in bedrooms. 10 min walk from air train so that was handy.

Clean, comfortable and central hotel. The included American breakfast was okay, pretty basic with the fried eggs, toast, coffee, juice. Would have been better with a proper buffet type as I like fruits in the morning.

good location and spacious room, value for the money!

Have stay there for 2 nights for my holiday. The location of the hotel is good where 10 mins walking distance to the BTS surasak station.Alternatively , this hotel also near the night-life attaction Silom area where with 15 mins walking distance from the hotel. Hotel sevice is very friedly and effecinetly. I have requested to change my bed sheet as i found some ants on it , they changed the clean bed sheet immediately.
The hotel room is very spacious and doesn't look like budget hotel. The disadvantage is the "WIFI" can be accessed from hotel lobby instead of the room, I strongly suggest the hotel enable the WIFI in hotel room.
Lastly, there is no safty box in room, however they provide the safty box in the reception and give you the key for your keep.
I would like to stay there for my next visit. Its value for the money.

2ND TIME ROUND

This was the 2nd time staying at this hotel and again did not disappoint me.
Although, this time round a slight discomfort to our stay was that as we had a high floor room and with this there was a continual ON/OFF noise coming from the roof. I thought either an aircon motor or water pump system. It was more annoying in the morning. I did not complain as I knew this was not going to change the fact and they were fully booked for a room change. Anway being a heavy sleeper helped.

Only location is reallyy good

The hotel is really dated. Rooms are big but everything inside is so old... including the safe that does not work. This hotel does not offer coffee making facilities, the restaurant closes too early (9:00 PM) and the wifi is only available in the lobby (and not all the time).

Having been to Bangkok many times was...

Having been to Bangkok many times was put in a situation when I booked my usual hotel to find it was under renovations. I looked on this web site and found Silom Ave Inn.The description stated the Inn had tea and coffee making in all rooms and a pool. From web site:"The hotel also shelters sauna, spa and an outdoor pool." After checking in and paying in advance I was advised this wasn't the case. Couldn't do much about the pool but after a discussion that turned into an argument on the side of the reception staff and reception manager they agreed to supply tea for only 2 of the 3 days we would stay there. They blamed AsiaRoomsbut I think each hotel has to supply the info to Asiarooms. I note the web site has been updated now re tea/coffee making but info about the pool still stands in 2 places on the site. Room carpets has cigarette burns and stains. Massage wasn't that good, I asked if she could do harder and then she disappeared for 5 minutes and an other lady came that wasn't much better. My friend who also had a massage said he wanted to get up after 10 mins but decided just to fall asleep and bare it. For the price I understand you cant expect much but disagree with false advertising. Staff could do with training in dealing with guest complaints instead of being rude and non responsive.
