the bell boy is not friendly and the breadfast is always the same

I stay in this hotel about 5 night and i have booking for 2 rooms . so i stay in 9 floor my room is 920 the romms not so clean and everyday i stay there they clean only bed and toilette another is the same . breakfast is cold anyway i'm happy for this price also close to the market .

Good value, polite staff, good location
I have stayed at CMP several times over the years. Upon entering the cavernous lobby it's almost disconcerting at first because it is so quiet. CMP is a bit dated but kind of elegant in its own way and it grows on you. Rooms are clean and services good. Buffet breakfast has many choices and staff is welcoming. Does have large pool and basic exercise room but most guests are busy on their daily tours (didn't see pool getting too much use). Safe deposit boxes available to guests, no safe in room. Stayed 4 nights this visit.
So really the CMP is not a place you will come home raving about (as you might at 5-star resort), but it has good value given its location, friendly staff, amenities and accomodation . Bottom line is that I'll continue to stay there during my Chiang Mai travels.

Great Stay But...
This is my 2nd time staying at the hotel. Within walking distance to the night bazaar (05 mins) and the sunday walking street (20 mins). While the deluxe room I stayed in is clean, spacious and comfortable, there was a "tired and worn" feel about the room. A 7-11 convenience store is located right opposite the hotel and Thai massage shops are plentiful along the streets beside the hotel. However, the menu of the buffet breakfast left much to be desire as the menu remains mostly the same everyday for the 3 days I stayed there.

My Stay
I have only one complaint - I did not stay long enough - that is why I intend to return and stay at Chiang Mai Plaza Hotel again. The courteous staff, the food, the pleasant people that looked after us and the beautiful surroundings of the Hotel make this a 'value for money' place to stay. Thank you to all the people that looked after us.

loving it...
well...first of ..i booked Chiangmai plaza with a double deluxe. When i got to the hotel, they were gonna give us a twin superior and they said that Asiarooms made mistake. We didn't care that much, so we asked for an upgrade by added another 15 dollars (we paid 60 dollars/ night total). and guess what? The room we got was worth paying for...big spacey room with clear screen cable TV and a big comfy bed and the most important for us was the best view. Our room faced Doi Suthep , so we were able to see city views and sunset behind Doi Suthep every evening. very beautiful ....this is our third time at this hotel, and both my wife and I were very happy to be back at this hotel every year. Eventhough either one of us( it's me or asiarooms or the hotel itself) made a mistake on booking the room but that didn't bother us at all......
