Exquistely relaxing experience, with staff catering to...
Exquistely relaxing experience, with staff catering to every guest whim or nuance - if only staff of all hotels were like the Dhara Dhevi staff. The ambience of this village within urban Chiang Mai is a delight to all the senses from the Lanna restaurant with Thai dancers, the Kad Dhara shopping village, the wonderful traditional therapies in the spa and relaxing in a thai lounge around either the colonial or villa pool (where even your sunnies are cleaned for you!). This was my second visit - we were upgraded to a delux villa, (a different yet equally enjoyable experience in a colonial room last time)...the only minor downside is an expectation to have breakfast included in the room rate. The visit to rice fields and ox riding was a very funny afternoon exploring more thai culture and then a visual record was delivered to our room a couple of hours later - a record of a wonderful stay....my favorite destination.

1, One more shower room like cllonial...
1, One more shower room like cllonial suite 50- 60, could be better.( I stay at suite 2020 ) 2, A little more dec furniture at enterance of the suite would be perfect.

The hotel was the most beautiful place...
The hotel was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The attention to detail in both service and design was exceptional. My only criticism was the restaurant the concierge suggested in town was not on par with the level of quality you would expect. Be careful of being sent to tourist traps. The hamburger at the pool bar is a must!

I just arrived here today, I travel...
I just arrived here today, I travel worldwide and am usually not mpressed with alot of properties anymore. Let me tell you this is one of the nicest propertoes I have ever seen. From the moment you enter thru the palace entrance you know the experince will be life changing without a question all I can say is 5 star and amazing

This hotel is a work of art. ...
This hotel is a work of art.  When we heard the owner spent over 100 million euro to build it, we felt every penny was well spent!  We stayed at the deluxe villa with a jacuzzi, which was spacious and luxurious (over 200 square meters of space), but watch out for the mosquitos at night.  There was a DVD player in the room plus the hotel has a DVD library from which you can borrow films. The feeling created is one of a traditional village, so you really feel you're at home. Every morning and night when we came back to our villa, a guard greeted us at the street corner.  We especially loved having breakfast on the terrace looking out to the rice paddy fields, and although it's a bit pricey (20 euro as I recall) and not included in the rate, it's a must!  The complimentary yoga and pilates classes made the stay more "healthy". We also recommend hiring the hotel limousine for airport pick up and drop-off service. For a mere 20 euro per trip, you feel like royalty.  Since we stayed at the hotel during the soft opening, some of the facilities weren't yet ready (not a problem though---didn't miss out). We cannot wait to go back when everything is complete.  And there were also 2 computers with Internet connection free of charge. We HIGHLY recommend this place. It's expensive but it's worth it. We loved it!
