The Legend = great hotel!
We stayed at the Legend for 2 nights while in Chiang Rai. Everything about it was great! The room is very nice, the porch is comfy, the people are nice, and the food is tasty. The "outside" shower is really nice although the water pressure could have been a little bit stronger. Be aware that geckos and snails will make it into your room. The only issue we had is it is a little bit of a walk away from the main part of town. It's not bad for those of us that don't mind walking - burning off all the good eats! We will stay there again! :)

Great experience
We really enjoyed this experience. The hotel is in a quiet location by the river but still only 15 minutes' easy walk to the centre of town. Small saengtaw (large tuk-tuk) to come back (because it was raining) only cost 100 baht. Night bazaar was interesting as was the Saturday night (only) market on Walking Street - both recommended. Restaurant at the hotel is great. Buffet breakfast was very adequate and the two dinners we had there were good value for money. Staff were very helpful and spoke English sufficiently. Overall highly recommended hotel.

We spent a wonderful time at the...
We spent a wonderful time at the Legend together with our 2-year-old daughter who spent most of her time in the beautiful swimming pool! very well located, having an fantastic overview on the maok river, the very smiling staff pampered us during our stay! One comment however that we mentioned at the hotel: the air-conditioning is really noisy and deserved to be improved/changed...it is an issue when you want to rest and that you sleep with the same noise than in an airplane!! And without aircon, no circulation of air at all!!!

The Legend chiangrai was a good hotel...
The Legend chiangrai was a good hotel located close enough to the city centre yet secluded to maintain peace and tranquility. The food quality was good, especially the pizzas. the staff very courteous.however it was not fair that guests were charged 50 baht per person for the shuttle to the city centre, this should be provided free of cost. also it was odd that the management insisted on the guests returning their rooms swipe card keys, and charged if laundry bag was taken from the hotel room! accept these few hiccups it was a good hotel to stay in.

Wonderful room in a great resort. ...
Wonderful room in a great resort. Lots of space and comforts. Bathroom is fabulous, with doors opening to the outdoors Riverside location is amazing, especially the infinity pool. Restaurant is on the pricy side for Thailand - much better value to be had in town. Shame the shuttle into town is not complimentary.

Wonderful hotel. Very nice and helpful staff (and management). Excellent breakfeast buffet. In our personal opinion food (dinner) to much western oriented.

We had a pool villa - fantastic...
We had a pool villa - fantastic room and gardens, but not as private as we expected. One of the restaurants was shut for renovation, and the other two served from the same menu. Food was very average for a hotel of this quality.Great location on the river, but no shops or restaurants in walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay. Tha location next to the river is wonderful, the garden and surroundings lovely, the rooms in good taste. The only drwaback is the aircon which is a bit loud. Even if you turn yours off and open the windows, you can hear the unit from the bubgalow next door. Marcel

This hotel is a legend! Absolutely fantastic...
This hotel is a legend! Absolutely fantastic the rooms are big and airy with outdoor & indoor areas, heaps of room and great design. Pool is great. gardens are beautiful. All in all a really relaxing gorgeous hotel to stay at - our favourite so far in Thailand! The only minor thing to watch is the Mozzies suggest you take a good mosquito repellant but they only come out about 7 PM so you should be having a cocktail, shopping or at diner by then. Location is only a short ride into town and as we had a car it was really easy to get around the area. Chiang Rai is great and the hill areas are just amazing
