A bit far from the center = not walking distance, but taxis are available and the price is reasonable if you don't use the hotel shuttle and go out to the streat.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location...
A beautiful hotel in a perfect location for anyone looking for a peaceful holiday. Only a 5 minute taxi ride from town centre which has, literally, hundreds of bars and restaurants.
The pool area is absolutely fantastic and the service from the pool attendants is exceptional.
This was our 3rd visit and we shall certainly be returning - hopefully next year.

My friend wanted to stay at the Hilton but they did not have the room he wanted. After staying at the Hyatt he was glad that he did.
Have stayed here before and it was a pity that this time was for one night only. Got an upgrade to a suite which was great and the basis of my rating. Nice touches were complimentary T-shirts and yoga mat to use.
Pool and beach were great.
Buffet breakast was excellent.
Only gripe was high cost for internet use.

The Hotel and especially the rooms are...
The Hotel and especially the rooms are getting old and are not Premium standard or represent a five star hotel. The furniture was old and there was still a tube TV and not a flat screen TV in the room. In our room we could view just the garden and not more. We stayed in other hotels in that class where you get every morning the daily newspaper on the door and on the day you arrive are ice cubs and the daily newspaper already in your room. There was no mosquito net to leave the balcony door open during the night. We were overall quite disappointed about our room which was one of the category guest. What we really enjoyed was the pool and river, which connect them. The whole pool area with the many plants and trees is beautiful and looks more like 5 star Hotel. The staff on the pool was friendly. The lobby is open air and build in Balinese style and doesn't like impressive for a hotel in this class. Like other reviewers mentioned the hotel is quite far away of Hua Hin and there are not many restaurants outside the hotel on the street. So overall: Room flop, pool and surroundings top

This is a truly beautiful hotel, with amazing gardens, pool area and facilities.
We loved the pool area for kids to play, and despite the sea at Huahin having jellyfish throughout most of the year, it was a nice clean beach for walking and playing. We did not enjoy the many, many rental horses on the beach as they smell bad, and can be dangerous galloping along the narrow beach.
We would not recommend this hotel if you want peace and quiet. When we were here it was very busy and noisy with Thai families, who are quite happy to let their kids run around making a lot of noise at all hours. Also the pool area did not really have enough sun chairs for the large numbers of people.
The food is excellent, and quite reasonably priced for a hotel of this calibre. However with only one restaurant available for breakfast it was very overcrowded. We had to wait for a table a couple of mornings, and often had to wait for food in the service lines at breakfast. The breakfast buffet though is excellent, with a wide range of delicious foods - all fresh and constantly replenished. The slowdown is caused by cooking stations where eggs and pancakes are prepared to order. This is very, very slow.
As the rooms are built of concrete, with tiled flooring, we heard a lot of noise from the room above us - wooden furniture scraping on floors, and running feet. Also the hotel is a long way from town, so if you don't have a vehicle it will be expensive to get taxis into town. There are very few tourist facilities nearby like restaurants, shops and bars.
Rooms on the ground floor are a bit bigger (as the balcony area is glassed in) and allow up to four people to sleep in two beds, a hideaway bed, and using the small sofa in the lounge area as a fourth bed. Upper rooms have a very nice spacious balcony with comfy lounge chairs. Connecting rooms are connected via the balconies - unusual, but effective.
Ideal for families, but if you want more tranquility try the Sofitel.

Rooms are great, would probably take the club regency access next time as the facilities were great for that. The service in the hotel was the major let down. Front office staffs were not very friendly and restaurant staff very slow and obviously not happy, which made the feel a little low especially since I was there for vaaction.
If service could improve, this would be a great place

Probably the best swimming pool I have ever seen at a hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. We were very happy with the hotel and felt it represented excellent value. A nice place to unwind.
