No swimming pool
Hi i paid more than 50£ for one night here , one of my main things when booking a room was a hotel with a pool. Their pool is out of action for a month. There's nothing to say this on asiarooms and also they have the opportunity to email me once i've booked and they didn't,. They only informed me after i paid at reception. They said there was another hotel nearby where i could use the pool but i would have to pay for it. This hotel is no way worth that money without the pool.
you can find a room in hua hin without pool on asia rooms for half the price.
I also had a problem with the reception staff because my girlfriend who is thai went shopping and joined after i checked in. They insisted on taking her ID card even though the check in process was complete. They do this for guests bringing prostitutes back to the room. Obviously a bit awkward for us , i told them it was unnecessary as we had known each other 4 years. They said if she stayed in the room without giving her card they would not guarantee the room or my private belongings... mmm . i think if she wanted to steal my stuff there has been plenty of opportunity over the years. Anyway i brought up this and the pool with the staff and management and they really weren't interested,.
the rooms are ok , and its in a good spot, but customer service isn't important to them and i think not mentioning the pool is out of action or dropping their price because of this is a bit devious. check the pools available if your booking there soon

The hotel was quite good, not in the centre of town but not to far.the room was good,the only problem being the air condition to noisy.also the tv programes if you are english there is not a lot of choice.when we stayed there,there was no shuttle service.

On the whole the hotel was reasonable in terms of its cleanliness and friendly service. It is centrally located but separated from the main town area by a busy road so not so good for families with small children. The breakfast needs to be improved. There is no asian selection which is unusual for a hotel in Thailand and the western fair was poor.

hotel facilities had got everything but usless. we couldn't used the pool because it's too small.
the free shuttle is only 2 times a day and not a good time for you to go out. Breakfast is just so so with expiry fresh milk.

Well located near the markets and shops, but 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. Very nice room for a budget hotel, with everything available except a bath. Breakfast very basic. Staff were unobtrusive while still being reasonably helpful when asked, although not many had strong english.

Clean and quiet
The hotel was clean,quiet and the staff friendly, location was useful for the railway station, the golf club and general access to main road to get tuk tuk, songtheaw to shopping centre or walking to night market. Quiet area, but then most of Hua Hin is quiet and a definite change from the tourist activity of the islands and Pattaya. We were there during the celebrations for the King's birthday and the run up to Christmas,so lots of light and decorations.
The two disappointments at Citinloft were the size of the pool, it really is more suitable for kids, and the quality of the breakfast. Useful to have complimentary lift to the beach area - but it is easy to walk. Good massage first left on main road and a good mix of places to eat. There are cheaper rooms available nearer the beach and slightly more expensive with larger pools and it is still quiet! If you are moving on to Pattaya try the catamarran ferry you can buy tickets from most travel shops, quicker than the bus.
