The only reason I wouldn't stay again is because I feel that this is an experience I only need to do once. My kids and I all loved it but two nights were enough. I would recommend taking a torch as the one they give you is very small.

Funny stay without electric light and A/C. Many russian guests, loud till late night. Boat transfer is to pay extra, whitch rise the cost's from 3300 to 4200 Baht for one Night.

This is not a standard hotel, it...
This is not a standard hotel, it is more like an experience. There is no AC, no hot water, no TV, not even electricity. But instead you will get tranquility, all night of sounds of nature (starting with the river flowing 3 feet under your bed), elephants bathing in the river in the morning, you will be able to nap in one of the hammocks or swim in the Kwai river. All in all - an experience definitively worth the money you pay for it.

A fantastic experience, right from the very...
A fantastic experience, right from the very start when you have to board a boat to get there. Remember to pack light, so that you are not struggling with large suit cases. The only thing I wish I had taken was a powerful torch, because you are more or less in the dark otherwise. They provide a small torch with the key and the an oil lamp, neither of which give off a lot of light. We stayed for one night, but would have gladly stayed for 2 or 3 nights in total. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Book early if you require a massage, we were unable to get one, as we arrived late in the day and they were fully booked. Certainly worth a visit if you are looking for relaxation and something a little bit different.

Please be aware that there is a...
Please be aware that there is a 750B charge for a 5 minute boat ride (which you had to take to access the facility). As a result I was forced to leave and get new accomodation.

Sure, it's a unique, exciting, romantic, fun destination for a couple of nights. BUT we found ourselves relegated to poor tables at the back of the restaurant both nights because tour groups had been allocated the whole pontoon. Appreciate these bring return custom, but surely it's not hard to have some tables put aside for couples who want to enjoy the feeling of being on the river. AND, given the only access is by boat, Bhat750 for a return trip is a gouge. That money buys half a day on Bangkok's klongs! At least include arrival and departure in the bill. Report Card: Must try harder!

Couldn't get there. alighted at Nam Tok...
Couldn't get there. alighted at Nam Tok Sai Yok Noi station, but there aren't any taxis around. waited for hours. In the end, took the train back to BKK. money wasted.

The Jungle Rafts were very enjoyable -...
The Jungle Rafts were very enjoyable - simple, basic accommodation with no frills, but wonderful peaceful setting and good food, cold beer and that amazing river for a dip. The current is very strong so even with a life jacket poor swimmers will find it confronting. I didn't like the smell of the kerosene lamps - so maybe some solar panels for lighting?

It would probably be best to go...
It would probably be best to go here as part of tour. We had difficulty finding the right turn off when we came by bus. However we thoroughly enjoyed the experience - the area is beautiful and very relaxing. The aim of the hotel is to give one an unique experience of jungle, Thailand, specifically the Mon tribal area, as unspoiled as possible, and it succeeds very well. Anything more modern would detract from the experience. Facilities in the older sections were a bit primitive, however satisfactory in the newer rooms. Good for two nights. Any shorter would be too short.
