Great facilities, but definitely not a 5 stars hotel, 4 at most. The restaurant menu and food are too "cheap" and the service like of internaational standard, it is definitely a thai management. However for the price, we had a great time and everything was fine. I will go back; next time i know what to expect.

This hotel has a first-class air. The buildings and grounds are attractive. Two adjacent swimming pools are huge. An adequate number of sunbeds are at poolside as well as on the lawn that extends to an uncrowded stretch of nice beach. Our Deluxe bungalow was on the second floor. The room was clean and nice but not spacious and the storage space was woefully inadequate - a small closet and no drawers. The outdoor bathroom, including sink, toilet, stall shower and tub, was - well, interesting and quite attractive, but available to mosquitoes and the hot weather. There was never enough hot water to fill the tub. The Garden View was a good choice because the pricier Sea View rooms are close to the swimming pools and therefore are noisier. The buffet breakfast was good, varied, and changed daily. The other meals were good, too, and fairly priced. The staff were invariably friendly and provided good, caring service. The lobby internet service is outrageously priced, as is the hotel massage, but these services are available nearby at normal rates. There's a small non-touristy village within a 10-minute walk and several other restaurants along the beach. Not a place for night life, but a very nice, well-run, peaceful resort. If we return to Koh Chang, it will be to the Bhumiyama.

This hotel provides very good value for money.
Its only drawback is that the neighbouring hotels have a regretable tendancy to believe that the whole beach wants to listen to their favourite music.This does not happen all the time but it is a nuisance when it does occur.
Nevertheless, the experiense is so good that we would be happy to return if we were ever back in Ko Chang.

Very nice hotel with excellent service! Beautiful and quiet location, backpacker huts nearby just add some color. Restaurant is good, but too expensive (be aware, they add service fee and tax to menu prices), better value and more fun can be found just outside on the beach.

This place was incredibly beautiful with an amazing property (pools galore) and a gorgeous beach out front of the resort. We got a beach front room and it was gorgeous. The furniture in the room was beautiful, the bathroom was OUTDOORS which was WONDERFUL. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Bhumiyama. The breakfasts were included in the price and delicious as well with lots of variety. Oh, and you could always find a beach chair and the service in and around the beach was terrific.
Having said all of this I have two comments I want to bring up:
1) The restaurant was kind of empty and the food not that great for lunch and dinner. we ended up taking a short walk into the town of lonely beach and eating there which was great. we also had one meal in bang bao which was so delicious - fresh seafood - and well worth the 100 baht cab ride.
2) I'm not sure that Bhumiyama is worth the price when compared to other resorts on the island. While I didn't stay at any other resorts on Koh Chang, I did notice that the Bhumiyama is significantly more expensive and I wondered if you couldn't get a similar experience, perhaps with less beautiful grounds, elsewhere.
Overall, if you are ok splurging a bit, Bhumiyama was a beautiful, fun, relaxing resort which is good for older people, families, and very romantic for young couples!

The restaurant can look better, and the food is not amazing - although breakfast was very nice. The overall look of the hotel can be improved, but it was very nice and we will be happy to stay in it again.
