Hotel is a tired out of date health hazard
This hotel is a health hazard and the photos must be at least 10 years old. I was due to stay 4 nights, however, I checked out the following day due to how dirty it was. The entire resort is tired and desperately needs a major overall. The sun beds by the waters edge were black and stained and the snubbed covers were equally as bad.
Breakfast is serviced until 10.30, I ate at 8.30, the buffet service was running out and food was not topped up.
The resort is full of roaming peacocks which woke me up at 6am and would appear to be a regular occurrence.
The rooms are out dated with very poor lighting, both in the room and bathroom. There were cobwebs on the ceilings of my room, stains on the room chair and when I really started investigating, the bed I had slept in, not only did the protector have what looked like blood and urine stains. I was hurried when I took off that to find the mattress completely stained and stinking. All the little ponds around the resorts were filthy and stagnant and looked like they had not been cleaned in months. The list goes on; however, I will stop here. I photographed all this, sent it to Asia Rooms, complained to the Manager, as well as wrote to the Headquarters of this chain hotel. The manager, said "what do you want me to do about it” I requested a full refund and this was declined. The head office has not had the decency to reply. Asia rooms said they could do nothing about it. This hotel requires an urgent health inspection by the correct authorities and I am certainly going to investigate who would undertake this as I am concerned for future residents, in particular families with children.

Dear Ms.Sonia N.,
Good day from Koh Chang,
We sincerely regret that you needed to check out after one night because, as you informed us, your father was sick. We regret that we were unable to refund the other 3 nights as the Hot Deal booking was at a 30% discount and non refundable. We regret that you were unable to take up our offer of a free room upgrade, free meal or free spa treatment. We regret that your impression that the pool loungers had no covers as you took the photos very early in the morning before the pool opened at 9.00 by which time covers would have been fitted. We regret that our 12 well cared for peacocks seemed like 50 to you. We regret you only had time to photograph an overflow lotus pond rather than our main water features, maybe there was not time enough to explore. We appreciate the effort needed to completely dismantle the bedding and mattress protector to find a stain, which our housekeeping department had missed. We were troubled by the conversation where you said that you would contact the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Department of Health if we did not give you a refund - this is when you first showed us your photographs. In fact we would welcome you contacting them as we are confident we would pass any health check. In fact we pass every rigorous check that the Thai tourist industry requires. We regret there was so little time to talk this all through with you as you informed us at 10.00am, and at 10.30am your transport to the airport arrived, which it seems you had in fact pre-booked the previous afternoon. The impression you give that you left that morning as a result of your night's stay is therefore rather misleading. We hope your father has recovered from his illness.
Thank you & Best regards,
Chaiwat Piriyapada
