The pot-holed track from the road to...
The pot-holed track from the road to the hotel (about 1Km)was the worst thing about this hotel. After that everything was fine. The staff were very helpful, especially as our booking had been cancelled in error. The room was spacious, comfortable and the 4 poster was a big plus. The large bathroom had a huge bath. Umbrellas and a torch were a nice touch. The pool & beach were what you'd expect. The evening restaurant entertainment was a little cheesy and the nearby beach bars were a welcome relief. A great place to relax, with the opportunity to book excursions to avoid the holiday becoming boring.

I have a wonderful time in Panviman...
I have a wonderful time in Panviman Resort,Panviman have a peaceful places and excellent room. The drawback is a little bit far from the town.

My husband and I had a wonderful...
My husband and I had a wonderful time in Koh Chang and recon the Panviman was one of the best places to stay on the high-end, considering there is no real luxurious hotel by international standard so far. Everything was quite the same as per the description on the website and previous comments by other travelers. Interesting thing was the comments on resort location. We found it great as we are a couple and didn’t want to have the “happening places in town” out of our door step. We rent a car for less than $50/day and it only took us 10 min to go to white sand beach, the main shopping and commercial area. Just check out the location of your target hotel – if you want to hang-out by foot than choose somewhere in white sand beach, otherwise choose Klong Prao and further north. Enjoy Koh Chang!

This isnt a bad place to stay....
This isnt a bad place to stay. I paid £75 a night with asia rooms for their top tier of accomodation which I think was a garden view something or another. The Hotel itself is down a 800m track which is a real pain as everytime you arrive or leave (which is every night as there is nothing to do there) you have to get thrown about in a pick up truck (there are no metered taxis only pick ups on this island) the grounds are nice enough. The swimming pool is nice and beach part is fine. The breakfast was pretty average and you wouldnt eat there for anything other than an included meal. Overall I'd give it a 6.5/10. I also stayed at the amari which was £90 a night and much better all round. Additionally I stayed at the ana resort which was by far the best on the island and not as pricey as the amari. I also stayed at the "koh chang paradise resort" based on the reviews - it was the nastiest resort I stayed on, plastic plates at breakfast - real class!

best location! - off from white sand...
best location! - off from white sand beach (which is terrible) - if you still wanna go there take the free shuttle from the hotel (twice daily). food is everywhere the same - hotel and bars around but prices and quality varies. BEST on beach is BARACUDA Restaurant/Bar right on the beach wonderful fireshow and lovely people running the business.

Panviman means paradise in Thai, and its a real paradise! it was our first hotel duriong our honeymoon in Thailand and it was the most amazing hotel we ever been in! the service is very good, the room is very big and amazing, the bathroom is perfect, they welcomed us so nice with flowers everywere and a cake from the hotel, the pool is perfect also! the breakfast is ok but the resterunt could be better. the only thing that was missing was the sun, we came at the end of september and it was railning almost all the time, but we still had a great relexing time over there. we will defently go back to this one..but not in the rainy season.

This is a beautiful hotel and i thought that the staff were lovely until we had problems. We had moths in our room that actually put holes in some of our clothes and no one would accept responsibility for it. They simply said could you have brought the moths with you? I also had a pair of expensive sunglasses stolen whilst in a thai cookery class and despite there being only staff there all they did was accompany us to the police station. The manager did not want to know

Great location for those that want a...
Great location for those that want a quiet beach break, removed from clubs and "nightlife". Rooms are large and clean (we shared ours with a friendly lizard), large covered veranda enables you to sit outside during any rain - we went July - 4 out of 5 days we had rain, but so what its warm rain. Hotel is a good 10 - 15 minute walk down an isolated dirt track from main road, where there are only a couple of shops and eating places so if you want to go out take advantage of the twice daily courtesy bus to Whitesands and the get a "taxi" back - about 200 bht. Suberb service nothing is to much troublr from the staff, resturant is expensive, try local ones on the beach, Baracuda one way or a 10 min walk down the beach past the KP huts and other hotels - Blue Lagoon. p.s buy your own booze and drink it at your room small beer is around 140 bht (in total) at the hotel as all prices dislpayed are + 7% tax & 10% service charge

This Hotel was perfect. Very nice room...
This Hotel was perfect. Very nice room and bathroom with little waterfall. Enough towels and service of reception personell was very good. One minor thing was that the room-service or housekeeping did not always took the remaining dishes while cleaning, so you had to ask them to take it away. Necessary because of the ants. The Hotel had also a Spa, looks very beautifull although there was only one masseuse, perfect view from there over the Sea. Food was ok, but you can better go to the little restaurant on the beach which is near the Hotel on your left. Overall conclusion: Very Good, much better than the rating on ASIA.My impression was 5* Enjoy your Holiday.
