bad customer service and lovely surroundings
We stayed here for the classic "full moon party" being youngsters, we wanted to get away from all the commotion down at Had Rin, so wanted to be in a quieter area. Customer service was appalling didn't have a clue what they were doing but the surroundings was gorgeous i.e. The beach, Can lay in the sea and just sunbath its really calm waters. Absolute middle of nowhere bearing in mind so dinner and bed in the evenings is about it. Room was Ok standard, clean but only had a fan and payed 750baht a night as opposed to other rooms we have had with air con and were half the price in diff areas of Thailand. Expensive as only hotel restaurants and nothing else around bar a few shops so they can charge what they like. We got a boat into the fullmoon party was 250baht-300baht each way, advise know your hotels name so many doughnuts on our boat had got on the wrong boat and ended up stranded on a diff beach.

Please note that the resort is currently...
Please note that the resort is currently changing it's name to "thong nai pan noi resort" - believe the name is the only thing they are changing though. Location is good and the beach is nice to relax at for a few days. Service at Raiwin is not what you would expect for a resort in this price range. Staff speaks only very basic english, the restaurant service and quality of food is awful. There are many better choices on the beach (star hut has good food). Prices for accomodation seem to be rather high on Thong nai pan noi, we checked on several different resorts in the area - they are all rather expensive for what you get.

Great location on a great beach. ...
Great location on a great beach. A little pricey for what it is though. A few small things come to mind, like no kettles in rooms, but nothing too serious. Good food, but bad breakfasts very little little choice.

Lovely location but very overpriced for ordinary...
Lovely location but very overpriced for ordinary facilities and nothing special enough to justify the very high prices. Rooms are lovely and well air conditioned, but bathroom is very basic and service of rooms is very erratic. Breakfasts are VERY basic and don't allow for any variation, but it is just 2 steps away to a brilliant beach.
