Above avg experience
Normal room on the ground floor, none sea facing. Not exactly value for money in terms of the rooms and services quoted were a tad more expensive than what the local operators were providing. This resort is on Laem Tong beach, the quieter side of Phiphi. For the price, in comparison to the rooms on offer at Phuket is somewhat expensive. For a room at Laem Tong beach, I guess its the cheapest on offer. In terms of customer service, its still an excellent choice and Thai hospitality almost never disappoints. Snorkeling at Mosquito Island nearby was nothing to shout about as well. If you're looking to stay at a quiet resort at this location of the island without breaking your budget, perhaps it is still a good choice.

Great beach view
Located right on the beach. 45mins boat ride from the main town at ton sai bay. There is no other way to get here. The boat ride cost 200Batt each way. If you miss the boat ride, you will have to get to the hotel by other boats. The beach is great and is not crowded. The water they use for shower did not taste drinkable. The breakfast were good but the dinner restaurant were so-so, there are better restaurant along the beach.

Ok but pricey for what you get.
The resort is at the top of Phi Phi and therefore you need to get a longtail boat to the resort unless you have already arranged with the resort for a transfer.
The longtail boats will cost you 1200 bhat one way and can be a little wet if the sea is choppy. Transfer on a long tail takes roughly 40 minutes. Upon arrival at resort had a lovely warm welcome by the staff, offered a cool cloth to freshen up and a lovely drink. Dealt with formalities and then shown to room. Stayed in a standard room which cost roughly 92 pound per night during high season including breakfast, which was a buffet and good. Tokens for breakfast are provided by reception on arrival for this. Our room was towards the back of the resort which was good but the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything next door so is no good if you want some sleep. The mini bar is rather pricey as well and would recommend buying any goods from the local store further down the beach than at the hotel. Room had average hot water but shower pressure was not good and if you do your own washing it will takes ages to dry due to the humidity on the island.
Would recommend a massage from one of the lovely ladies at the resort if you need some pampering, as very skilled but it will set you back roughly 600 bhat per person for an hour.
Overall a nice relaxing place to stay but not much to do unless you book island tours or diving which are also pricey as it is Phi Phi, remember to check park fees are included or extra before paying for your tour at resort. A short stay here of 3/4 nights is probably good but not much longer.
Enjoyed my time here but was starting to get cabin fever after 7 nights.

Hotel location in the beach was perfect...
Hotel location in the beach was perfect because it was really close to the beach. But location in Phi Phi Island is awful. If you arrive to the island in the main port (Tonsai) then you have to take a long tail boat to the hotel because the hotel is located on the north part of the island and there are no roads on the island. When we arrived from Krabi to Phi Phi Island there was a huge storm at the sea and we didn't know that we have to go to our hotel by boat. The waves were huge and the trip was really scary. A few times the boat jumped so hard that water came in it and we really thought that now we are going to sank with all our luggage and belongings with us. Also we were wet through when we arrived to the hotel. So be prepared for that! The trip took about one hour because of the storm. There are no activities in the north part of the island so if you want to go to the Tonsai at the evening then you also have to take a long tail boat there. It is also very expensive, one way for two people costs about 1200 baths. Hotel is rated for four stars but we think that it was 3+ because we were in Krabi and Phuket in four stars hotels and those were really much better. We accommodate in the main building which had two floors. But we think that it is better to take the bungalow even if it is little bit more expensive because the main building wasn't that good. The walls are really thin and you can hear everything that the other persons are doing or talking about. The room was ok except the bathroom which was little bit dirty we think. Our room had a connected door so because of that all the noise was easily heard from the other room. Furniture at the balcony was terrible. Two plastic made blue "children" size chairs, no table. We think that in the four stars hotel there shouldn't be that kind of furniture. Also some good things, there were a water boiler which warmed the water itself all the time. Room was quite big and there were flowers all over the room at the first day when we arrived. In the bathroom was candle, which was nice. Breakfast was really good; there were large collection of food. Swimming pool and swimming pool area was clean and nice and there were bar also. The view to the sea was extremely beautiful. There was clear blue water and white sand but the hotel beach chairs were awful. We mean the chairs with white and green color. Chairs were so hard to use that all guest had trouble to use them. Hotel next to Erawan had huge pillows/mattresses looking "chairs" and they looked so comfortable. Hotel was located at the windy side of the Phi Phi so there was hard wind all around the day. Evenings were cold, because there weren't sun anymore. You have to use sweatshirt which is unusual in Thailand! In the north part aren't any shopping possibilities and also there are only one kiosk which had soft drinks and alcohol and it was about three times more expensive than inland or Tonsai. Erawan had own restaurant and bar. Food portions were really big, for example we took spaghetti and we ate only about half of it and our stomachs were full. Food was good. The bar had every day happy hour 4pm-6pm and there were six different drinks to choose from. This was good thing because in Krabi and Phuket we didn’t saw any happy hours and with so cheap prices. Also the bar and the restaurant had very good service. We were stressed about the trip back to Tonsai with the long tail boat but one day before we left we asked about transportation to Tonsai at the reception and we found out that there were one big boat (for about 200 persons) coming to pick all leaving guests and took them straight to Phuket. This all cost 700 bath / person and price included little snacks on the boat and transportation to your own hotel in Phuket. It also stops in Tonsai. It leaves about one o’clock from the north beach. This is very useful information if you are continuing your trip to Phuket. You pay all to the hotel. We were in Phi Phi only two nights and we think that it was too short time. Maybe three or four nights would be good. At the second and last day weather was excellent but unfortunately it rained a little bit at the second evening. We recommend this hotel and beach if you like peace and quiet.

Had a lovely stay at this resort....
Had a lovely stay at this resort. A great location, very good facilities. Rooms are not luxurious but the completely fine and adequate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Snorkeling off the beach was very good.

PP Erawan was a cozy nice place...
PP Erawan was a cozy nice place tucked in a quiet part of Phiphi island. The staff were helpful and made sure that our room was all set for us. If the hotel offered more facilities, it would have been perfect. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay there.
