awesome!!
Chaweng Regent is the best resort we have ever stayed at!! you could stay in your resort the whole time if you did not want to see anything else of Koh Samui. Loved hanging by the garden pool with the swim up bar and bob marley tunes playing!! I would reccomend this resort to everyone and the deluxe bungalows are beautiful. Just remember to get your breakfast included as it gets expensive if you pay for it every morning! woo!

Definitely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in Thailand..Beautiful resort, beautiful, spacious room, friendly staffs, 5 star quality...everything was well thought off..from planning to architecture to everything..Very resort feel..Totally recommended!

We had a smooth check-in after arriving at night.
We were upgraded to the deluxe room as the superior room are under renovation. The dulexe room doesn't look like so deluxe. Lot and lot of mosquitos, floor was not so clean as there were a few pills and small pcs of paper on the floor left by previous guests, i think. Bath tub is very old and got lot of chipped so we can't sit in the bath tub to bath. (Just in case why we need to sit b'cos if u stand and bath, u likely flood the bath room floor as there is no divider between the shower area and the basin area.)
Location is perfect. Restaurants, bars, market, 7-11, taxis, massage...all just opposite the hotel.
The staff don't smile very much at the resort, they dun even greet back when you greet them in the morning.
Overall...I think the hotel is a bit pricey for this standard.

A hotel with beautiful rooms and good atmosphere, nice pool and a lot of green. At the beach and also in the centre of the village (which you will not notice at all). We had a great stay and our children had a good time too. I should rank it 7-8 out of 10. We missed the waves (there is a riff around 100meter off shore), so the water before the hotel is only max 1 meter, the coffee at the breakfast is not as it should be but for the rest a hotel I can recommend.

Really had a great time at the Chewang Regent. My husband and I have two small children and I found the resort to be in a fantastic location. Yes, it is right in the hub of Chewang - but it was still quiet at night (except for fireworks) and you could have days where you could easily avoid the main street. You can walk straight onto the beach and walk up and down the sand and pick any restaurant that takes your fancy. Having the beach on your doorstep, shops, restaurants, massages all at your finger tips was perfect!
We stayed in a Premier room which was worth the extra money. We had to stay in the Deluxe (standard) room the first night and that was average. Worth the extra spend for a Premier. They made up the lounge as a bed for our son (aged 5) - it would be fine for a child to sleep on it but not an adult as it was very hard and not comfortable.
The breakfast was nice at the hotel (nothing beats the breakfast buffet at the Holiday Inn Phuket), the pools were good for the kids. Would definately stay here again or any resorts to the north of the Regent. It's not the most luxurious place you will ever stay in, but it is really nice, great location, good with kids and easy to enjoy!! the beach at the front was great - as it is a coral reef about 100 metres out the water isn't too deep which is perfect for kids. The water is slightly cloudy - but it was still beautiful and lovely to enjoy. I don't think it was from pollution, but rather being fairly shallow with the white sands it was a little cloudy. This did not impact at all on my impression of the beach. The resort wasn't exactly pram friendly (a few stairs) but as long as you know that in advance it is manageable. Staff were really great - you have to expect that english isn't their first language and have reasonable expectations. Would go back to Koh Samui and the Regent in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort for 5 nights for our honeymoon. The resort is absolutely stunning and the staff are so helpful and friendly. It is in a perfect location for shopping and tourist areas whilst still being quiet enough to just relax. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely return.
