Truly beautiful
Our stay here was Amazing. The customer service was good & the resort with the best of both worlds beach & pool!!! Elephant walking around amazing !!! .

Disappointing
We didn't enjoy our stay at Laguna Beach Resort for a couple of reasons.
The swimming pool wasn't very suitable for our 5yo girl. She found the slide too scary and the pool too deep (1.2m deep). There was a separate wading pool near the kids zone which was unexciting and pretty much deserted. The kids zone room itself was rather old and had a musty odour. Our laguna-facing room was also rather old. There was water dripping from the aircon but they got it fixed promptly. The bathroom was fitted with the kind of shower head that was fixed on the wall. There was no hand-held shower head, which made it inconvenient for me to shower my daughter.
Room rate apparently only included breakfast strictly for 2 people. Breakfast for our daughter was charged at 350Baht (for kids 4yo & above) and it wasn't made known to us at check-in. We were only told at the end of the meal.
Restaurants within and around hotel all charged exorbitant prices (compared to what you could find at Patong) and unless you drive, be prepared to spend. The hotel shuttle to Phuket Town costs 300baht (one way) and 600baht (return) per person. Kids are charged half the price. We took a taxi from Central Festival Phuket to the hotel for 500baht.

My family had a fantastic time at the laguna Beach Resort, the inclusive sporting facilities were fantastic, the lagoon near by the Beach was great for the Water sports and free coaching sessions were welcome. This a great place for families, there is not enough time in the day to follow the daily timetable. A diffinate 5/5 for me.

The service throughout the stay was good. But rules are pretty sticky with regards to late checkouts. Lots of activities around the resort but these wasnt introduced and we missed almost all of them. Good for families and couples. Far from the buzz of patong. Cab rides are expensive to and fro the resort.

This is our second visit to the...
This is our second visit to the Bang Tao Bay. Last year we stayed at Dusit and had a great time. We upgraded our room to Andaman suite upon arrival, which is worth it as it was large & spacious and had magnificent seaview. However, the facilities in the room is not a good as the Dusit's club room.
We found that the beach to Laguna is not well kept and a bit of an eyesore! Local stores were built right in front of the beach and hence blocking the seaview from the poolside! The beach on Dusit is much cleaner and the local stores are well kept and tidy too. At Dusit, one can sunbathe and listened the waves lapping away with total tranquility and still enjoyed the seaview. However, I cannot complained about the water park, as my daughter who is 4 loved the water slides.
Eating out is not a real problem as local restaurant is just within walking distance. As usual, the airport transfer is a complete rip off!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this fantastic resort. The facilities are excellent and cater for all. There are plenty of activities on offer, many of them complimentary, including kayaking, sailing and windsurfing on the laguna. The pool is huge and very well maintained, plenty of sunloungers for everyone, if not the staff are very quick to help you find one. Right on the beach with some nice places to eat just outside the hotel. Thee is a free shuttle boat that goes from one side of the laguna to the other. You are able to buy a day pass to another partner hotel such as the Banyan Tree to use their facilities and have lunch there and the price is very reasonable.
We got a good deal on this hotel in the summer months and the price was excellent so look out for good deals!

Our stay at Laguna Beach Resort was absolutely amazing! To mention a few things we loved about this hotel, it had great, spacious, comfortable rooms with an awesome view, excellent services, very friendly and cooperative staff, the beach on one side and a beautiful lagoon on the other, free shuttle services via road and boat available every 20 minutes to the nearby resorts and Canal Shopping Village, and many many more facilities. The pools (3 in all) were amazing, with a water slide for kids and adults too, a water park for water sports, a diving school, and a kids club. It is an excellent resort for families taking their kids along. For honeymooners, it is a dream destination, with a beautiful beach, white sand, and an amzing view. The highlight everyday from 9-10am was the baby elephant, Meena, who would literally walk in the hotel corridors! She ia a cutie, and loved by the kids and adults alike. All in all, an amazing experience, and would love to go there again.

This hotel is good value for money....
This hotel is good value for money. I and my family members love this hotel very much especially the water park. However, in my room (at G/F) there is strong foul smelling coming from the drainage system in the bathroom. I have changed to another room at 3/F and the situation improves but can still smell a little bit.
