I had a great stay. Great rooms...
I had a great stay. Great rooms with stunning views! Wonderful friendly staff! Great food. And another plus is that the hotel is situated on the quieter, and less seedy side of Phuket. However there was one thing that left a sour taste in my mouth: I was repeatedly told that a pick-up and drop-off from and to the airport will cost Baht40.00 per person. On the morning of my departure I confirmed this fact and my pick-up time from the hotel. However when I checked out in the late afternoon I was told that 1) a drop off to the airport will cost Baht 80.00 (!!!) and 2) there was no reservation for me to be dropped off. I asked the evening front office staff to confirm with the morning shift, however apparently the morning shift had no recollection of such a discussion. I was shocked to hear this. However I didn't want to spoil and otherwise wonderful couple of days and therefore I didnt make a fuss, but I must say that this incedent certainly left a very sour taste in my mouth. It is not something you will expect from a hotel with the stature of The Chedi.

The location of this hotel was great, but at the price we paid I would have expected better facilities and room. I would look for something more reasonably priced the next time I am in Phuket.

The resort is beautiful and private. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We had asked for a nice room as it was our anniversary and they gave us the most private room with a view of the beach. The room though is a bit a old and could do with an upgrade. But we did have a lovely time and would definitely recommend it.

The hotel is getting old and it...
The hotel is getting old and it may have been a five star "luxe" destination at one time, but I think it is tired. The old tube TVs are a giveaway. This is a resort in need of a makeover. I also recommend that anyone going here be VERY comfortable with his or her guest, because there is not much to do around here and no place to go reasonably within walking distance.

The location in the nature with a huge private beach is magnificent there A lot of stairs to the rooms or the beach which can be a problem to elderly people . Service is grate.

This is my second stay at the...
This is my second stay at the Chedi. As long as you don't stay in the hillside bungalows, the stairs are not a problem...in fact provided some exercise. Booking with AsiaRooms proved to be easy and problem-free on arrival. Staff are friendly and customer service is most satisfactory. Location is beautiful, not too far out of the hectic Patong, and transport and restaurants are easily accessible. Would stay there again!

Lovely setting,wonderful staff, and food was good, but the steps are hard going. It doesn't matter where you are in the hotel you have to climb too many steps, and it takes away from the lovely environment.

We had booked a hillside cottage and...
We had booked a hillside cottage and were upgraded to the next level. We were very glad once we saw the rooms and the amount of stairs we would have had to climb to get to a hillside cottage. The resort is tired, and stairs are everywhere - to get to the pool, to the restuarants, the bathroom let alone the rooms. The Beach is DIVINE though, and the food and service was usual Chedi standard - that is great. The bathrooms have no bath which was disappointing. The hotel provides ample drinking water bottles for you which is fabulous (much better than the usual 2 small bottles most hotels provide), but it would be nice if this was also brought to you on the beach and poolside. The staff were fabulous and helped us light wishing lanterns on the beach which is above and beyond their duties. We loved the beach and the spa was excellent, but overall a difficult hotel with 2 small children given the stairs and noisy floors!
