The Novotel Coralia hotel in Phuket is...
The Novotel Coralia hotel in Phuket is set into the hillside at the northern end of Patong Beach rising gently above the waters of Kalim Bay. It is only a few minutes drive by tuc-tuc to Patong's beach, shopping streets and nightlife. Alternatively for those that want a more quiet pace, it is only a 20 minute stroll along the beach to Bangla Road.
Because of its location on the hillside, the hotel is built in a multi-tiered arrangement with different facilties and accomodation blocks spread along and up the hillside. This makes for a very quiet environment, surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful gardens. The hillside setting also provides ample opportunities to gaze over the bay or Patong beach itself.
Two very striking features of the hotel are the reception area (a beautiful Thai style building) and a three tiered pool with fantastic views over the bay.
The hotel rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained with all the amenities that one can expect from a hotel of this class. The hotel staff are very customer focused and really go out of their way to look after the guests.
All in all a nice hotel to stay in and relax.

A very pleasant and relaxing 5 days in Phuket. Food, service and facilities first class. I recommend very highly the Thai restaurant as well, the hotel and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Perfect location for being close enough but not to close to the action.

The hotel has no beach front and...
The hotel has no beach front and it's a mightly long walk to the beach. Although the hotel claims to be along the popular Patong Beach, it's actually pretty far away from the main Patong area as well. You need to take a tuk-tuk and the costs for that adds up really quick. The room are quite old and run-down. The rooms facing the sea have a spectacular sunset view though! The spa and massage parlour is not very good.

The Novotel Coralia is an Excellent Hotel....
The Novotel Coralia is an Excellent Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpfull and nothing was too much trouble. Overcame the small problem of distance from main town by hiring a motor bike, very cheaply, just outside the hotel. Breakfast was good, other meals in the hotel left a little to be desired. But great food available in the main strip.
Only real complaint would be the extremely hard beds. This applied to all the 4 hotels we stayed in in both Singapore and Phuket???

Stayed here in April 05 - 5 months after Tsnuami. It is close enough to Patong Beach and the nightlife but separate so it is nicely quiet. Rooms were pleasant and the seaviews worth the extra cost. The mattress was very hard which did not appeal to us. Food and souvenirs are substantially more expensive at the hotel than down at the beach but the pool and views were spectacular. Staff was very accommodating. The Novotel Coralia hotel is highly recommended!

My daughter & I stayed here in September 02. Lovely position close enough to Patong for a nice stroll in or take the hotels free shuttle, but far enough away for peace. View from see view rooms fantastic, lovely little touches like beds turned back of a night & a flower placed on the pillow. Food a little bit expensive but plenty of cheap eating around. Staff excellent especially pool bar lads. I would recommend it to friends.

We were promised a sea view for our honeymoon, but were greeted with no sea view and called out right "a liar" when we insisted that we were promised such my mgmt. Others there also experienced excessive service charges that they were not told about in advance and would have paid, had they not reviewed their invoices in advance of departure. Though we were on our honeymoon and while others received "gifts", we did not. Many of the employees and staff were very friendly and helpful, but mgmt was terrible, especially Mr. Rai and Mr. Samyod! We will never go back to this hotel again.

Nice resort with very good service. We were there for our honeymoon & they took the trouble to decorate the bed with flowers. They even escort us to our room upon our arrival. All these little details made our stay in the hotel very pleasant & enjoyable.
