Overall a good place to stay - beach is terrific, pools plentiful, plenty of programs (fitness, entertainment, cooking class, few shops on beach & local market a few times/week). Walk down beach for dinner each night or eat in. Fairly standard prices for tuk-tuks/taxis to go into shops/other beaches etc. Location good if you want to be away from the busy areas of Phuket island.

Sunwing is a family oriented resort. It's a shame that it's slightly out of town/accessibility to town.
I would be very happy if hotel does provide shuttle buses to different destinations.
The Spa in the resort closes too early - 6pm. My sister and I tried to book a time but in vain. Apparently, there is a lack of staff as well. Since my sister has 2 boys, it'd be ideal to get the massage and spa done after they have gone to bed around 8pm.
Breakfast to be served from 6.30am could be good as many of us are travelling with kids. They do wake up early. To add on that, tours to the islands begin as early as 7am pick up time.

Well appointed rooms ... Very close to beach and activities for kids ,Thai massage at doorstep just enough for a good family break...avoid 6 in one adventure package is a hoax and very unsafe for nature canoeing as staff untrained ,rubber tapping is 20 sec memorized script near a single tree located at the entrance of the elephant trekking ,buffalo cart ride not available due to buffaloes broken leg no refund or replacement activity .No life guard at the canoe deck also forget about the canal stretch midstream could have been life threatening

Child-Friendly Hotel
Near the beach, family friendly beach, with young children easier to take holidays. All the buildings of the hotel has no elevator and is 4 layers Small children, quite a few steps to climb. We'll go again for sure!

This is perfect hotel to go with the family and children. Rooms are big and made so You will feel very comfortable with the children of all age. BangTao beach is very nice and clean. There are good organization for children with small pools for them and playgrounds. However water in pools could be more colder.

I would like to say that your hotel's services is quite good, especially some day-shift's receptionists can did a great job for customers, but not enough professional services to customers of night-shift's receptionists. On the other hands, Maybe not many asian stay at your hotel, that's why your staff to seem strange to asian(us), the strange feeling is in "fino resturante" and another resturante(breakfast place)'s staff,they didnt provide the good services. except these, your hotel is quiet good.....

We have stayed at Sun Wing in -07 &-08 for two weeks with grand kids and now 3 nights as a old couple. Excellent location, good massage(wife) and good breakfast. Service has always been very good. In my oppinion the water of the pools is too warm it's not refressing. Anyway we are coming back with the family.

This is a huge family resort (over 1000 guests!) owned by Swedish company. Most of the guests were from Scandinavia, so information sessions and night shows were in Swedish. But the personnel spoke good English. There are also many children of all ages running around. So if you want a quiet resort, look for another one. It is also rather secluded and far from any activity. So we rented a motorbike for a few days.
The resort is very comfortable, right on the beach (safe beach), with many pools and poolchairs. The breakfast was excellent. Animation nightly. Good organization for children.
A short walk on the beach will take you to a few local restaurants.
