Excellent Stay @ Pool Villa
The stay was great. We stayed 3 nights at the pool villa. Room is nice with a nice plunge pool but can't really swim. Bath facilities are outdoor, which is cool! But toilet is also outdoor which means you need to get out of the room in the middle of the night. Room internal is nice and cozy. TV has lots of program and lobby has DVD for free rental. Resort has free wifi which is a big plus. Overall, it has all we needed. Pool cleanliness can be improved (room service should clear the fallen leaves!) Lots of Mozzies outdoor but not too bad if you apply the repellent provided. Resort has 2 nice pool for swim and standard recreational facilities. Breakfast is surprisingly nice! Wide selection on the menu and serve hot from the kitchen. Resort is by Nai Yang beach which is not fantastic , but 5 to 10 min walk along a quiet road to the small village full of restaurants! In the evening they serve nice seafood at very reasonable cost, which is the best part of the stay. Nai Yang area is not crowded like patong, so great place to be if you like peace. Other facilities like minimart, massage and day tour also available. Very convenient! Resort also provided free shuttle to Phuket town, patong and premium outlet, which is another big plus! They even gave me free airport transfer at the end. Great place to stay and will definitely come back!

Good standard of accommodation but not special
The Dewa is a strange resort, with half the accommodation being rather small and rather claustrophobic pool villas and the other part like condos.
We stayed in 'The Residence' which are apartments overlooking a pool and offer a separate bedroom plus dining and kitchen area and a balcony. The standard of accommodation is very good and it makes a change to have a nice lounge area and kitchen. The rest of the hotel however is nothing special and the customer service is lacking the usual Thai hospitality and smiles. Neither of the pool areas are great with one right next to the hotel lobby - it beats me what the designer was thinking when he designed this.
We only stayed there for one night to be close to the airport and for that it is fine. You can enjoy the good accommodation and next door is a good Thai restaurant to have an evening meal.
I would only recommend staying there if you need to the airport for a one night stay,as there are far better true resort style hotels throughout Phuket.
