Nice location near Kata beach, nice rooms.
Hotel is in a good location, just 5 minutes walk from Kata Beach. Club Med has an entire section of Kata Beach blocked off, so you need to walk to around it - not a major deal though. Rooms were nice and clean with plenty of space. Each room has a balcony with views over the pool. We were on the 5th floor and could see the surrounding hills, which was nice. Hotel itself has some pros and cons. The pool itself is great, lots of loungers available and the pool size allows for a nice swim. The swim up pool bar was a nice idea, but the pool bar did not look good at all. It just seemed like a storage area half of the time with dirty dishes, extra chairs and towels sitting around. If it was spruced up slightly it might make a big difference. Eating area also looked cluttered. Not a huge deal, but some small changes would go a long way.
Breakfast was good. Usually the same staples each day of bread, fruits, cereal, eggs to order with some variance of Asian inspired dishes like fried rice, stirfry etc. It certainly did the job and was tasty. Hotel staff were friendly and spoke English well enough. Tours can be booked through hotel on site, but I'd shop around if possible. There are nice eating options available near the hotel to suit all tastes. All in all, it was a nice place to stay.
