Big room
All staff work so slow and they look too serious. Would be nice if they smile a bit...the room is big and we have got the the room with very nice view. So many choices and nice breakfast. No free wifi but at the coffee shop have it. Around hotel is so so quiet. You should go to Jade cave and Kho Kradaan 50 km. far from the hotel...amazing Thailand. So so so beautiful !

very disappointed in service. Resturant was nice, but a little pricey. This hotel came highly recommended, but was not up to the standards of other hotels we stayed at in Thailand. The check in experience was a nightmare.

DURING OUR TIME IN THAILAND WE STAYED...
DURING OUR TIME IN THAILAND WE STAYED AT FOUR DIFFERENT HOTELS. THIS HOTEL FAILED IN REGARDS TO SERVICE AND FRIENDLINESS OF THE STAFF. AN EXAMPLE WAS WHEN ONE OF THE BELL BOYS WALKED THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR JUST AHEAD OF MY 17 YEAR OLD SON AND LET THE DOOR CLOSE ON HIM. THE BREAKFAST WAS WAY BELOW THAT OF THE OTHER HOTELS WE VISITED AND THE GYM DOES NOT OPEN UNTIL AFTER LUNCH. MAINTENANCE TO THE ROOMS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT. THE WALL PAPER WAS PEELING OFF. THE ROOM SAFES DID NOT WORK AND THERE WAS NO HOT WATER. IF WE EVER VISITED TRANG AGAIN WE WOULD PROBABLY STAY AT THIS HOTEL AS IT IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER HOTELS IN TOWN BUT THE MANAGEMENT REALLY NEEDS TO SEE WHAT SERVICES THE OTHER HOTELS IN THAILAND OFFER.

Nice foaje. We had a junior suite and it was just a lot of floorspace in two rooms with a dinnertable in the other room. The bedroom wall to outside was a bit black and had a waterdamage. The poolarea was really good and relaxing. We didnt try out the massage, but they where cheap and not very busy. Breakfast was good with several choices of asian/chinese food and some continental as well. The local coffe was very strong.
We tryed to book a minivan to the pier for the next day in the hotel-door but they said we did not need that. Just come down in the morning they said. We did came down in the morning and had to wait 1,5h for a van and they wondered why we didnt order the day before. I think it was just languageproblems. We did get to the ferry in time though.
Otherwise a good stay.

My partner and I booked into the Thumrin Thana as part of our honeymoon. Big mistake. We reserved a double room but got a twin and the hotel was full so we had to make do. The bathroom was dirty, carpets were all stained and there were none of the appliances in the room as mentioned in literature, eg hairdryer, kettle. We went to use the gym only to find that most of the electrical equipment was broken. So we thought we would have a sauna and jacuzzi only to then be told we would have to pay an additional 200 baht each for each activity.
The meal in the Coffee Shop was poor. We waited a long time despite being 2 of 8 people in there and when the food did arrive it was cold.
An extremely disappointing stay at what is meant to be a 4* establishment.
